I had the same experience, @opwog. I found the smoke/char flavor off-putting, personally. I didn't think it melded well with the other flavors. That being said, it tasted great with the brat as the smokiness complemented it.

 

Everything is still on as of lunch today.

I knew I should have taken the day off!

 

Just had this for lunch. Have they always used the KFC batter for the cod? I can't remember but it was incredible. Also, to keep this thread on point, everything is still on including Twisted Trace and I'd like to recommend Manhattan Barrel for either an apéritif or digestif (or both!).

I was there and I did not see you. I was on the Washington Ave. end of the bar from ~1-2.

 

Also got the smoke in TT that was not there before. Did not mind it, but it has changed.

 

I'll probably drop by around 8 tonight. Looking forward to Big #7 and Project 3106.

Project 3106 was insanely good & for my money, Twisted Trace was far superior to what it was last year.

Last year's batches seemed a bit 'off' to me, especially Twisted & Czar Jack, but this year they're spot on. The Buffalo Bock was also excellent.

Too right. Flavors line up one after another and are then confronted head on by the elegant chocolate at the end.

 

This sounds great. I really hope it lasts until Monday.
