Just went and picked up a few growlers - the new Hop Dam double rye IPA is really good. A bit more body than Evil Giant.
Bottles for sale this weekend - would like to try the Suburbs rotating hop IPA - different recipe from last time I was told.

A couple of batches ago, Money was outstanding. Last bottle batch was solid.

Yea this batch of Suburb was with Motueka. I had it on tap last weekend and it was very, very good. Will definitely be picking up bottles.

Just finished my last Red Button last night. That beer came out fantastic in the bottle.

I'm still trying to see if anyone has any bottles left of Money. That batch was delicious.

Going on sale today at the brewery along with Suburbs IPA. Should be in beer stores this next week too.
Haven't had the new Suburbs yet but I really liked the original version, think it was my favorite IPA from them besides Dunegrass - not sure which hops were used though.

Had a growler of Atypical IPA on New Years Eve. It's not as dank as Money but still pretty solid in its own right.

Money is good, but it would taste far better to me if it didn't cost $6/500mL when purchased directly from the brewery.

When you have Other Half and Grimm cranking out cans of IPA's for ~.25/oz (with AGE clocking in at .31/oz), the .355/oz for Money looks exorbitant. I understand that they're looking to increase distribution of more than just IPA's, but perhaps investing in a bottling line wasn't the best decision.

I'm happy to continue visiting the brewery or having it on draft at a bar, but I can't see buying bottles at that price. If I'm going to overpay for a bottled IPA, I'd sooner grab some Singlecut.

$6 for 500ml of high quality fresh beer isn't really an outlier in nyc. it's cheaper per ounce than an eight dollar bomber would be.

Grimm cans are $5 at the cheapest in Upstate NY, and we both know they're more expensive than that down in the city. I know the brewery WANTS cans to be sold for like $4.25 per but that's not what happens when it gets to retailers. So you can go ahead and throw that out as an example of being cheaper per oz than Barrier.

As far as OH, yes, their cans are cheaper. It's also a different format. You can't equate 16 oz cans sold in four packs with 500ml/16.9 oz bottles sold elsewhere.

And, at the end of the day, you're trying to say a brewery shouldn't have invested in a bottling line because YOU are quibbling about pennies on the ounce. Legitimately hilarious.
