Don't despair - Belgian 1 and (oaked) Dubbel Down have been around lately too. I think the Oaked Dubbel Down is one of my new Barrier favorites. I've seen Cycle on BM too but haven't gotten to it yet. True they used to make a bunch more.

 

Unfortunately is not the brett version of cycle. The original cycle was one of my favorites. The raspberry cycle was even better.

I really miss saisoff.

 

Have you guys tried the current Gingerman house beer, it's a Barrier saison. While I've only had the simcoe dry hopped cask version, it was fantastic.

 

Hmm nope havent heard of it. do you know if its one of their original saisons or was it brewed specifically for Gingerman?

 

My understanding is it's specifically for Gman

War Daddy is a big and delicious beer. Huge aroma, really strong assortment of hop flavors, and a killer finish.

 

Anyone know if War Daddy has Summit hops like War Elephant?

War Daddy reminds me of Knee Deep Simtra.

Getting a ton of simcoe in this one, but the picture they posted said Citra, Mosaic and Amarillo.

 

The mylar bags on top in that pic weren't labeled I could see, maybe simcoe? I am not great at picking out individual hops in the taste of beer, but I would not be surprised to find out simcoe is in this.

 

War Daddy is fantastic. So much flavor that it hides the abv really well. Its definitely a heavy bodied beer, which is good for me since I tend to run through beers.

I'll have to revisit my next can to nail down the hops but definitely got Amarillo, which sometimes can be very similar to Simcoe depending on when its added to the boil.

 

There should still be War Daddy cans, right? Just want to pick up a 4 while I'm out doing Christmas shopping. I'd buy more but I have to save $$ and space for some SC tomorrow.

Just popped in. Bartender estimated they still have more than half of the 60 cases they got.

 

Popped in and got a 4-pack and also a small glass of DDH DW. Damn good. Dangerously drinkable for its abv. So much dank.

 

Are they doing growler fills of it?
