Anybody been there? I'm attending a birthday party about 3 mi. from Barrier in Oceanside and am thinking of picking up a couple of growlers of Barrier brew since I've heard good things about the beer. This is my version of what my wife calls the 'hostess' gift. The party is actually for a 1 y.o. nephew. Any comments about the brewery would be helpful.
Go! The beer is excellent, and Evan is a great guy. It doesn't make it's way out to eastern L.I often, but when it does, I'm there with my growler in hand! I Don't know what they have on tap right now, but the Lights Out Stout and the Bulkhead red are two of my favorites!
Check there facebook page for days open... off the top of my head i think its wed and saturdays.. but if your in the area.. and there open.. def go.. there beer never dissapoints
A follow up to my anybody been there? I have been there. It's in an industrial area but don't blink or you'll miss it. Growler fills of all sizes, but the guy in front of me with different sizes was a regular since they knew his name. The beer is excellent and it's really refreshing to be at any kind of retail establishment where the people who work there seem to really and truly enjoy what they're doing. Thanx to Sean who gave me two new caps, rinsed and filled my growlers. I look forward to the beer coming north in my lifetime.
Love Barrier and their brews, havent made it there in a while but a new German style garten opened up by me and has 2 of their German-styles on tap
