Hi all, Visiting my daughter and have been to several great places because of all your past posts. I was wondering if there is a decent spot around cherry creek mall that I could be dropped off at for a beer while they drain my wallet. Thanks
There is a World of Beer really close to the Cherry Creek Mall on Colorado Blvd. This World of Beer is pretty good about keeping a nice stock of different and unique beers on tap. http://worldofbeer.com/locations/cherry-creek
Bull and Bush Brewery is right there as well. And if you want to pick up some bottles to pack away in your luggage, Colorado Liquor Mart is just across the street and maybe a block down from WoB
In addition to those posted above, which would probably be ideal, some bar/restaurants that are a little closer: TAG Burger Bar is not far (at 6th and Madison), usually has a pretty solid tap selection, often including a rotating Russian River keg (although when I went there for dinner last Friday there was no RR). Also great food to munch on. If you want closer to the mall, Harman's has a fun bar, decent drafts, and sometimes great whiskey (drank plenty of Pappy there, for reasonable prices). Also great food. Cherry Cricket is the bomb, also a fun old school atmosphere. Be warned though, if you go, you'll have to get a burger.
I concur on Harman's Eat + Drink, and they definitely have the best food of the bunch. They also usually have Trinity sours, Black Bottle (draft), etc. That's where I'd spend money (and often do).
Another option that's very close is Bad Daddy's Burger Bar (literally across the street from the Cherry Creek Mall). You could walk it. http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/36525/ Solid eats + a decent selection of good beers.
I like TAG Burger, but it is at 12th and Madison, so a bit north of the mall. I have heard good things about Harman's...must check it out.
Cherry Cricket is good but be prepared to wait for a seat, or even just ordering a beer at the bar, if you go on a weekend night. Haven't been there in quite a while, and that tidbit has a lot to do with it. The burgers are really frickin good though. I think this place has been showcased on the Travel Channel once or twice. Solid draught selection.
Not that I blame them, but Cherry Cricket refused to stamp my hand last night because my out of state license expired 8/29 (just moved to the area, and haven't had a chance to get a CO license yet). Haven't had that happen yet, even at the airport, hah. Burger was great, though.
