I will be in Corolla this week and wondering if there were any good bottleshops or bars in the area. Thanks for the help!
If you go south, theres a Bier Haus in Swansboro thats pretty solid. Nice draft list. As far as Breweries, youve got Weeping Radish and Outer Banks Brewing Station. Ive her OBBS is pretty solid.
I was just in Corolla a few weeks ago. The Harris Teeter up there has a decent selection of run of the mill stuff. Founders, NB, etc... You don't want to miss Outer Bank Brewing Station. Great food and good beers. On your way down to the Brewing Station check out a bottle shop called Chip's Wine Market. It has a pretty good selection and a few taps of stuff. When I was there, they have Founders Devil Dancer on tap. I would advise against OBX Trio. Good selection, but pricey and a lot of stuff past date. I saw DFH India Brown Ale that was over a year old.
I'll second what alex said about the Trio wasn't anything too speicial and hell it was packed. Chips has a great selection of bottles and glassware and they are very helpful if you need anything. The brewthrus have a decent collection as well founders, bells, 21a. Love it up there can't wait for next year.
The last time I was down there, I went to the Brew-Thru that is just a little North of Chip's. They have (had) a pretty decent selection in the walk-in part. That was a few years ago though. Maybe it's gotten better, but worth a shot. I walked out with some Bellhaven beers and a few other I can't remember.
The owner of Sweet T's in Duck used to be a distributor for Bells. May be your best bet if it is in fact bottled this year. *edit* Just saw that you were coming down this week. I don't think The Oracle will be here yet.
I It wasn't the biggest selection but it was a block from my house in Duck closer than my other options were before I heard about sweet T's.
