I'm heading to Boston this weekend for the Boston Calling Music Festival. I'm not familiar with the city as all and looking for some recommendations on bars serving tasty craft brews near North Station or City Hall Plaza. I won't have a car so walkable or within a reasonable distance via taxi is preferred. Cheers.
Solid list here, I would just add a new(ish) spot called The Merchant on Franklin St. (Trilllium tap plus other good stuff) and also say that Row 34 isn't too far and has a better selection than any of these places.
The Hideout in Faneuil Hall is somewhat of a hidden jewel, a dive with some decent beers on tap. I've drank Nugget Nectar there on multiple occasions.
Repeating what kinopio said above - check out Saus. Not a traditional beer bar. Have a beer or two, while eating waffles and fries. Not a bad way to pass the time.
