For bottles hit Jubilation wine and Spirits(they also sell beer). There are a couple of good breweries in Santa Fe and a new one in Taos I've never been to.

Definitely hit up LaCumbre and Marble as they are both fantastic. I think there is a big drop off from there as far as breweries in town. Some people like Turtle Mountain, but its a long ways from my house and I've only been there once and it was ok. Nexus has great food, but the beer isn't anything spectacular. Tractor brewing on Central isn't very good in my opinion. For bottleshops, I agree that Jubilation has a nice selection, but they also charge a premium price. Kelly's liquors on Wyoming near Indian School has a good selection and good prices, as does the Quarter's on Wyoming just north of Montgomery. As for up north, in Santa Fe, hit up Susan's Fine Wines and Spirits, but the best beer store in the state is called Kokoman and it's about 30 minutes north of Santa Fe (http://www.kokomanliquors.com/). Hope you have a great trip!

Agree with kokoman. If you are going from kokoman to Taos the blue heron is with stopping at..small place and easy to miss...growlers only..beer is not world class...nevertheless a cool place.

You should be able to find LaCumbre in Santa Fe now too, and the Marble tap room overlooking the square in Santa Fe is not to be missed.

Just butting in with a similar question: Where might be the best place to get some fresh La Cumbre Elevated cans or the Crooked Line series from Uinta (specifically Labyrinth and Cockeyed Cooper) in Santa Fe? I've got a friend who's going to visit soon and wanted to bring some back.

As far as freshest cans of La Cumbre, that would be at the tap room on Girard. Other breweries to hit up in Albuquerque would be Chama River Brewing (The heads of La Cumbre and Marble used to brew there), Il Vicino Brewing Co., which is right around the corner from La Cumbre, and Bosque Brewing. In Santa Fe, don't pay attention to the ratings of Blue Corn, and don't really bother with the food, but the beer up there is kicking ass the last few times I've been. Second Street Brewery is also a good stop.
