I had the chance to pick up some BART last weekend, and seeing as how I'm new to this whole thing there's a lot I want to try, but not really sure what this is worth. Could you guys please help me out and let me know what its worth with regards to the following:

    Black Tuesday
    Chocolate Rain
    BCBS and variants
    Bourbon Aged DL
    BA Speedway
    Bell's Black Note

Also if you guys have recommendations for things to try along the lines of the beers I listed above please let me know.

    Thanks for the help.

My best guess as to what the bart could pull:

    Black Tuesday-no problem
Chocolate Rain-maybe (it would be a stretch)
BCBS and variants-everything except rare and probably vanilla
    Bourbon Aged DL-nope
    BA Speedway-nope
    Bell's Black Note-maybe

BART isn't well known outside of people who have attended the 50/50 parties. It has 12 reviews between 3 versions. At this point it's an under-the-radar beer; the demand is the gating force in its trade value.

If you're in the Bay Area, I'm sure you could find a tasting where most of those bottles are opened up, and bring the BART to it.

Seems to be trading for shit all at the moment, mainly because I don't think anyone knows what it is.

Edit: Guess I could be helpful and say what it is for those that don't know. It's a blend of imperial stout (Eclipse) and barleywine (Old Conundrum) aged in various barrels. Sort of similar to Firestone's anniversary beers. The recently bottled batch was aged in rye barrels and it's quite good.

Doesn't have the fancy packaging of Eclipse, but the beer itself is equally good if not better.

I want to say that I overheard that the headbrewer said the EC 12 BART is a blend of stout (Totality), porter, and barleywine (Old Conundrum) and aged in single barrel EC 12. But I believe the other 2 versions are the barleywine/stout blend

60 cases of BART - Rittenhouse Rye released at the brewery (Edit: or 720 bottles)

Yeah, some previous blends contained porter, but I'm fairly certain the bottled blend is only imperial stout and barleywine.

The head brewer mentioned this years version of BART is actually a 50/50 blend of Totality stout and Annularity as opposed to 2011's blend of Totality and Old Conundrum. As for bottle counts, approx. 1000 bottles for BART and 500 for Annularity; 8 3L jerobaums of each.
Have to agree with one of the above posts, BART definitely is on par with or even better than Eclipse. Annularity was pretty spectacular as well.
Anybody know what the bottle counts were on the BART variants sold at the Eclipse release party last year? I think the Brandy BA BART had a total of 3 jerobaums but I'm not sure about the EC12 and EC18(?) barrel aged ones.

There was 720 bottles of BART and 240 bottles of Annularity. This is according to Alicia when I talked to her before the party.

We opened one of the 3L Elijah Craig BART's last month and it was damn good. The idea of this blend really works.

I have no idea how the Rye is, but it's probably a good idea to find out.

I've had the rye recently and although it was good I felt that the EC blend was much better.
