So how long did it take you to waste your time reading bottlecaps80s post? That's like 5 seconds of your life you'll never get back, huh?

I haven't laughed from a BA post in awhile.
    This did it.

Whatever dude. So you like troll shit in your threads and I don't. Obviously nothing I say will change your appreciation of troll shit in the forums so lets just agree to disagree on this one.

One BAs troll shit is another BAs pithy comment. If you ever get my way or I get yours, we can argue it further over a few tasty barley sodas.

And by the way, if the Bros dumped every post that was a waste of time to read, this site would probably only need one or two pages for everything.

I was considering trying some Batch 19, but then saw some Batch No. 138, which did excite my senses, so I had to grab that instead...

    I passed on Bell's Batch 9,000 ... it just didn't sound good.

“I found it for $5.59 a sixer” Was that a sale/promotional price? My local beer store is selling Batch 19 for $10 a six-pack (the same price of many craft offerings).

    Cheers!

No shit. How bad were the first 18 batches that they thought "nailed it" on Batch 19?

I'm thinking they drank the first 18 batches. They used it as liquid courage before deciding to present Batch 19...

Alextricity, weren't you the guy in that other thread who said that you found reviews that use words that are more descriptive than "hoppy, citrus, malty, crisp, roasty" pretentious?

I may just bite the bullet and include Black Crown, Batch 19 and third Shift in a mix a six. I just don't like buying macros from retail stores which, one would assume, have some craft product on hand as well. I try my macros at restaurants that have nothing better and I decide I'll just have a beer. Thing is, I haven't seen any of these beers anywhere but grocery stores. Weird.

“I may just bite the bullet and include Black Crown, Batch 19 and third Shift in a mix a six.” Please report back with your opinions of these three beers if you do this. This presents you with an opportunity to conduct side-by-side taste testing (or back-to-back if you prefer).

I was able to find Batch 19 on tap once so I ordered a pint; I wanted to try it. A couple weeks ago I was able to purchase a single bottle of Third Shift Lager so I was able to taste that beer. I have yet to find Black Crown on tap or by a single bottle. I will try Black Crown if I ever find it on tap (or somebody selling a single bottle of it).

    Cheers!

yeah, i'm a real douchebag for answering the question at hand and criticizing someone who came here simply to stir the pot. what an interesting bubble you live in.

as long as that barley soda isn't Batch 19 or Third Shift i'd be down. easier to argue in person

don't get me wrong here, i'm not advocating an increase in moderators or anything like that. i was obviously exaggerating about my ban comment. this site is locked down pretty tight as far as strictness is concerned (in my opinion it can loosen up a little. tons of banned users and posts over the years, but i don't want to get into that because i'd rather not be banned). i just wish the conduct with some of the newer users around here was less......aggressive?

in the end i guess i'm growing tired of people getting shit for drinking beers brewed by a macro sized operation. i have never seen anyone get copious amounts of shit for enjoying a Lagunitas or an Alpine or a Heady Topper. it's almost like it's cool to hate on people for drinking big beer. it's all schoolyard-type bullshit, my beer can beat up your beer type mentality...it's tiresome and it needs to stop.

I work for a distributor that does both, and I dig the 3rd Shift ... Closest thing to Yuengling that I can get ont he west coast I think. The Batch is good too, but I prefer the 3rd Shift. Its also something I can bring to my buddies who dont drink craft beer and tell them that MillerCoors makes this. They try it and get excited with something different than just Coors Lt. Price point is spot on for the 3rd Shift too (9.99 a 12pk at Rite Aid).

Im just as into crafts as everyone on this site, but sometimes you need a change form a big, heavy beer or a hopbomb. And sometime youre broke, and 10 bucks for a 12pk sounds pretty good of a beer you like. Eevryone has different tastes, get over it

IMHO, if you can obtain Third Shift Lager for 10 bucks a 12 pack that is a ‘good deal’.

At my local beer store (in Southeast PA) they are selling Third Shift Lager for 10 bucks a six-pack but I can buy a 12 pack of Yuengling Lager for 10 bucks.

Why is Third Shift Lager so expensive near me?

    Cheers!
