Has anyone had one of these recently? I have a few I have been sitting on, and I was wondering how it was coming along.

Not terribly recently, but I popped one open about 3-4 months ago & was shocked, shocked that a beer that was so good at release had actually improved. It was flat-out amazing.

I found just the opposite to be true. I opened a batch 1 and a batch 2 late last year, and found that they were not improving at all. I bought a case of the batch 2 for cellaring and am annoyed that I wasted the money...drink it fresh!

I found the two batches to be quite different a couple months ago. B1 had much more virgin oak flavors (as I do recall from having it fresh), while B2 had more of a chocolate-like flavor coming through. That was, of course, just my experience.
