Did some searching and didn't see anything. Have a couple days in both cities next week and was seeing if anybody knew a good place to grab a pint and possibly a meal. Thanks.

It's been a while but the wife lived in Bristol and we visited Bath often. From memory; The Bell, The Hop Pole, Royal Oak, Stag Inn and The Salamander were good for quality ale and a bit of scran so may warrant further online investigation.

My only recollection of my nights out in Cambridge is The Eagle but that is probably due to its association with the discovery of DNA. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Eagle_(pub)

Decent pubs that I have visited in Cambridge over the past few years:

    Cambridge Blue (food)
    Kingston Arms (food)
    Live and Let Live
    Elm Tree
    Devonshire Arms
    Maypole
    St Radegund
    Champion of the Thames
    Castle Inn (food)

The ones marked "food" are pubs in which I have eaten and enjoyed the food. There are no doubt other worthy pubs in Cambridge as well.

I haven't been to Bath, unfortunately, however, you may find the "Whatpub" website useful.
