So one of my buddies is on vacation in battle lake and offered to bring me back some beer. Any good bottle shops around there that would have Surly? Anything else worth getting he could find. My favorite styles are ipas, BA beers, and sours. Thanks BAs!
I used to go up there every summer as a kid. As far as I know, the town of Battle Lake has a municipal store and that might be your only bet. Not sure if bars can sell packaged beer. He must be traveling through a larger town and they would have more options.
I think the Municiple Liquor store in Fergus Falls (a ways to the west and probably how they would get to the Interstate to leave Battle Lake) has Surly and a passable craft selection but it has been a while since I have been there. I know they have Surly on tap at the Unions Pizza and Brewery in Fergus Falls and they sell growlers. There is the Seven Sisters Spirits liquor store south of Detroit Lakes that has an OK craft selection and carries Surly but they are a good distance away. http://www.7sistersspirits.com/
