Didn't see where this thread had been started for the month. If I overlooked it, please delete.

If anyone is interested, the Target at the Metreon has bottles of Bravo for $8.99

So I'm pretty new here... Is this thread for posting where to get special release stuff? I know I'm looking forward to picking up some of the Temescal Staycation at crafty fox tomorrow.

Pretty much. I picked up 2 4-packs of Staycation at Temescal this past weekend. Surprising to hear they're hitting Crafty just now. I think Alvarado Street Citraveza also drops today, but Friday canned releases are sorta unprecedented.

I love love loved New Feeling, which I think was the best beer I've had from them. That was Simcoe & Motueka.

Staycation is Simcoe, Motueka & Mosaic. It has some of the New Feeling qualities, but I find myself not liking Mosaic as much as most BAs. In this beer, it makes it bitter / dank whereas New Feeling was subtle and more stone fruit. That's not to say I don't like Staycation. I just feel as it the Mosaic dominates more than to my taste. But that's why I have cans to see if my opinion changes from Day 2 (Tapped last Fri, but had on tap last Sat). Cheers!

Staycation is awesome! If they have any cans left, I'm gonna go back for another 4-pack.

    Thanks for the description!

I've actually been a little underwhelmed with the last few pales and IPAs from Temescal. Not bad by any means, but a little disappointing after the stretch they had at the beginning of the year with zig zag and push pop and some lovely pales. My friends and I thought they'd be the next Cellarmaker, especially given the head Brewers history there. I missed New Feeling so will have to try that one and this new Staycation. Hoping they are as good as zig zag!

New Feeling was legit. That beer went down too easy.

I think I've said this before, but I'm always impressed with the selection they have at Berkeley Bowl West. Last weekend when I stopped by they had some Alavardo Street, de garde, Faction, KBS, tons of Parabola, and just a bunch of other beers that you wouldn't normally see in a grocery store. Who ever is responsible for buying their beer knows what's up.

Don't know, City Beer Store had everything so I didn't go to Craftyfox. CBS will have Staycation cans for the next couple of hours.

I haven't checked this release, but in previous releases I have usually found it at multiple Whole Foods. Usually stashed in the employee cellar of course

Looks like Rhinegeist cans have hit SF. I've had quite a few of their beers. Nothing mind blowing, but nothing bad either. I'll pick up their Mosaic as long as it's fresh.

Love the $100 beer days. City Beer Store has Garage Project Party & Bullshit and Henhouse East Coast Bias. Toronado has Alvarado Vengeful Barbarian, Toppling Goliath PseudoSue and Rover Truck.
