So what's the deal with this beers trade value right now? I quickly parted with mine for the tried and true $4$ route.

Is this another flavor of the week phenomenon?

    Cheers!

Way more FT's than ISO's at the moment. $4$ with limited shelf and not super limited brewery only beers should be on point

Would a regular Abraxas be overkill for a BB Black Maple?

If I was trading it, I would be looking for $13 dollars worth of good beer not available to me. But if I had more, probably wouldn't trade... it is really good.

Basically what @miketd said. If you've tried Abraxas, then trade for Black Maple. You won't be sorry

I was thinking of putting up an ISO but it seems like all the FTs are asking far more than this beer should go for. For instance I don't think this trades evenly with DB Huna

Not all Ohioians are unreasonable. I've seen some very appropriate trades. There is always one or two who try to go big and get crickets with every new hot beer.

For every unreasonable request I've seen from someone who has this beer, I've seen 4 that are absolutely reasonable.

You should be able to find one with no problem. Just let the buzz settle out a bit. Cheers!

I'd say put up your ISO...don't think it's going to take the high end of the FT's you're seeing out there to land this beer. And no it does not trade evenly with DB Huna

Not close to landing DB Huna. :grimacing: With that said, I just opened my first Black Maple and it is magnificent. I don't think Abraxas is unreasonable. I could see BB Black Maple + BB Dark App for 1 Abraxas being a popular trade.

Black Maple was pretty much 1-2 bottle limits everywhere except the brewery. Sold out within the day it was on the shelf. Maybe till next morning. Still available at the brewery.

I was surprised to hear this and didn't even realize it was seeing distro.

The brewery is over an hour away from the next nearest big city (columbus). What was distributed was 1 pp usually and went really quick .

I traded a black maple and BA dark app for atrial and nocturn and I'm going to even out money just for people wondering trades that actually closed. Still waiting on someone with some HF that would like a combo of JO's but I knew that would be harder.

The reality is that we place more value on some beers than others. I see people with ISOs of DB Huna and others thinking that it is a ludicrous ISO for the BBBM but the reality is , the DB Huna sells for 25 -30 dollars retail. If your going based on $4$ and not trade gouging, 2-3 BBBM should be fair trade for the DB Huna.
