Looks like your answer for TOD was answered, not sure how CF trades. I think you're def in the ballpark. I believe similar trades have happened on more than one occasion. Good luck!

Just for future reference you may want to say something like Atrial and Nocturn plus list. Offering just the CF (in addition to Atrial and Nocturn) may work but it never hurts to give more people more options. It would have to be something along the same lines or another desirable JK beer but it would only help.

 

Great thread here I made the drive as well sitting on a few till a decent trade comes up.definitely won't break balls I'm happy to trade for beers I've never tried don't have to be whales

 

I've done a few black maple trades now & they've all been $4$ for sours not available here. Have what should be a pretty nice tasting coming up as soon as we can coordinate some schedules..

 

Just traded a Hibernal Dichotomous and 375 Tilquin Quetsche for a BB Black Maple and a Dark Apparition

Wasn't $4$ obviously but we were both happy with the deal

 

I've made the drive from Columbus to Athens a couple times recently now to get some JO's (once for BBDA and once for BBBM) because, well, any excuse I can find to visit the promised land is one I'm going to take! So I've had several JO's BB beers and done multiple trades with them and I've received some very nice other limited brews, but have always gone $4$ with it. So far I've gotten, Parabola, Abyss, Backyard Rye, Grey Monday, Black Tuesday, a couple Dark Lords, multiple BCBCS's, BBPt5, Vanilla Rum Dark Apparition, etc. Jackie O's bourbon barrel beers have easily been the best option that I've found in OH to be able to acquire some other equally awesome beers that I wouldn't have had the ammo to get otherwise. And that's because they're some awesome beers! I've certainly drank my fair share of them as well (not just traded them all).

 

Man someone actually traded you a vanilla rum dark apparition? Is it a 2012? If so that beer is severely infected, kinda sucks someone would do that if they didn't inform you.

 

It was a small part of a big trade, more of a last second toss-in then anything else. I've heard mixed reviews on some that tasted infected and some that didn't. I'll be sure to let you know how it tastes. Thanks for the info, tho.

 

At least you already knew beforehand. It was pretty phenomenal when it was on draft and then not so much shortly thereafter, hopefully yours somehow is good

 

FWIW I drank my last one when it was over a year old & still tasted fine..
