Seems pretty straight forward?

 

Due to the ridiculous meaning "bae" has in pop culture, maybe we just spell this one out?

It's also Danish for poop apparently.

 

BA Expo is bae for me. And Black Note is saved in my phone as "side bae."

 

There are probably a few people out there who give more attention to their BAE than their actually baby. So this works on some levels.

 

Glad she got some for you so you can flip it for Treehouse IPAs that are released every week.

Yep....this. Although I missed '16 B1 black note release; but BAE was for sure 3 packs last year and BN B2 was 2 pack limit.

 

IDK....watched a guy walk out with a case today. A couple was in the store for entirely other (wrong) purpose. Guy cashing out at the register had the stones to ask if he could buy their allotment. They let him. Not sure why though.

 

Well, @BEERschlitz was pretty damn close with his 630 estimate. Reports on FB were that it sold out just a bit after 6pm, so right about the time I posted my update.

But for what it's worth, the number I quoted was based on them telling me, not what I saw.

Wait, you're saying that someone came in to buy BA Expo, saw two other people randomly in the store for whatever reason and actually said to one of the General Store employees "hey, those two don't seem to be interested in the BA Expo, can I buy their allotments?" without even going over to the random couple to ask them or to make even smallest of effort to actually engage them to get their allotment?

Why did he stop at a case? Surely there was someone walking past outside whose allotment he could have laid claim to by pointing them out to an employee.

 

I went by twice today, once for BB Expo & another to get a drink and neither time did I see any obvious mules or a line for that matter. I heard that this batch was much smaller than last year

Yes, that's exactly what happened. Actually the gal was at the register getting help on something else, had no interest in the beer, so he asked if he could have hers. Then her husband walks up and he asks if he can have his as well. The store employees let this fly, and were having debate whether they should mark the couples hand with an X or not. This was right at 5:00. Whatever I guess.....

 

16 BN B2 was 3 4 pack limit. Maybe it got reduced after 3-4 days (it lasted a long time), but I was there on the 3rd day I think.

 

Probably the same guy on my local social media group that posted a picture of 16 4 packs.

 

You have it backwards.

BAE was TWO 4pks and BN B2 was THREE 4pks.

 

So, is it all gone? I'm assuming so.

 

BA Expedition was 2 four packs last year. You only need to look at the fourth post in this thread to confirm.

I'm with core. Let's not commingle our craft beer acronyms with the Kardashian gutter slummin' acronyms. It will only take a few seconds to type out BA Expedition. That beer deserves the respect it has earned.

 

I wish they had decided to mark the couple's hands. That might have changed their mind on being impromptu mules for that douchebag.

I was about to say it might have been the shitlord in one of my social media groups who posted 7 allotments until vette-ss noted that it was 5pm.

Or if that's too much, BA Expo works pretty well.

 

Correct. I went back yesterday looking for a pic & found my pic of three 4 pks of BN

Yes....yesterday somewhere between 5:30 - 6pm it sold out

 

So out of this entire thread thus far, not one comment regarding how this years batch is.....all the complaining I have read regarding line douches, lack of allotment, batch size surely has led to one of you popping one of the 8 bottles you got. So, how is the beer!!?? Impressions please. Hopefully its worth all this back and forth regarding a batch that was brewed last year. Let it go people. If Bells decided to down the alottment, then so be it. It wont stop the majority of you from trying to acquire it. This is a beer site at the end of the day, impressions/opinions on beer itself and connecting with great people are what matter most.....and that obviously escapes alot of individuals throughout these threads.
