Man, that is a big difference. $30 a pack and you can buy 2 or 3. OR $10 a bottle and you are only allowed two.

Also that would be nuts if they got 13-14 cases. Just a crazy large amount.

I think it's actually by area code...I had already called ahead of time to see if they had it. I got the "773 upcharge".

How is this year's release drinking? I didn't get any and am considering trading for it if it's even 75% as good as the first release...

It's about 125% of last years. As it warms the flavors meld together a little better. Cold about the same.

There's some truth to this right here. It's pretty incredible. All the things you love about regular Expedition with a huge barrel presence. For those who have had previous vintages, I'm assuming this ages incredibly well like regular?

EDIT: I'd only like to add that I love when a beer completely lives up to it's hype.

    Just cracked a bottle.

    Thought #1: Incredible beer.

Thought #2: This will be an even more incredible beer in a year or two....

It's my first taste, so I have no experience to draw from...

I drank my first bottle of this year's side by side with a B2 Blacknote, and the BA Expo absolutely destroyed the Blacknote making it seem thin and mild-flavored. As others have mentioned, every strong attribute of the base Expo shines through and the barrel adds new dimensions without making it seem fusel. I want to keep a stash of these for the next couple years, but not sure I'll have the will power. No matter what I do, I will cherish every bottle.

^This. All of it. When I was drinking the one I opened I was thinking how much better it is than BN. Didn't do side by side though...yet.

To be honest, I felt in the end like I had wasted a perfectly good bottle of Black Note. On it's own BN is awesome, but she just doesn't stack up next to my new BAE (sorry couldn't help it). I also concur with a previous post that this is the best thing I've drank so far this year. Next up is a side by side with my last bottle of 2016 BA Expo.

I was at the cafe after the 4th, and had a chance to have BA 30th. It was pretty good. I've had BA Expo on Tap in the past as well. They said it is taproom exclusive so I don't think they will be releasing it in bottles.

That just means that as of TODAY it's a taproom exclusive as were Wild One & Mr Castries Vilnius just to name a couple, so ya never know what the future holds

I guess I am in the minority on this one (at least with the recent posters) but I prefer Black Note and 30th Anniversary to BA Expo. I have a few to let age for a bit. Maybe I'll be able to enjoy them a little more this winter or next.

Is it too soon to start speculating when BA Expo will be released?
