BBA Hellfighter

DR1 is purple whale

 

Growlers of B1 BBA Hellfighter are Vermillion walez. We ticked the only growler of Hay Merchant BBA Hellfighter, and it was so void of complexity, I've never seen anything whiter.

 

What about turquoise whale, lol...J/K. Heck, it's all subjective anyways, but its good to see such great Texas beers being named.

 

I had a batch 1 WBADPP last year and it was horrible. Wouldn't recommend aging that one a super long time. I don't think they really dialed it in until Batch 2 (and even now there are bottles that have issues now and then).

And hell yes this is now a TX WALE discussion.

I read a Don Q review earlier that said one out of six bottles were good, the other five had feces flavors.

Maybe I'll bring my Whiskey Rodeo to an event sometime. I only have 1 left. Still got 1 Beer Geek too.

Actually had a Beer Geek Rodeo last week and the spice level is still surprisingly high in the back of the palate.

 

The year old Hellfighter I had was really good.

 

Other Texas Wælz (I may or may not have some of these): Freetail La Muerta Batch 1, Anything from Darkside Fermentations, NXNW Barton Kriek (like a 30 bottle release lol), Real Ale Mysterium Verum bottles (just kidding they dont exist).

 

Nahhh, we cool man <3. I'm just bitter that I never saw a single bottle anywhere, even though I wasn't yet BA enough to explicitly go hunting for things.

And yeah! BGR has held up really well on that front, at least as of two months ago or so. I really, really wish that that were a year-round thing.

 

If I knew then what I know now, I'd have at least 5 bottles of Whiskey Rodeo...I bought Weasel instead cause the label was better looking

I was am shallow...and ignorant of the awesomeness of Jester King. Weasel was my first JK beer.

 

You're all missing a whale you haven't had. BA Temptress, it hangs with everything mentioned and only falls short of JK Whiskey Rodeo because that's retired.
