Just saw on Facebook that Dark Horse is going to put out a Bourbon barrel aged version of Tres Blueberry Stout!? Anybody heard any rumors? Bottles or just draft? I need to know.

Did somebody say that a BBA version of this would be pretty rad? We thought you did. Febrewary is going to be a killer month...details soon!!!

What are the chances they boosted the berries for the b.a. version?

I'm wondering this as well. My experience with this beer is that I got subtle blueberries on the nose and the blueberries were almost undetectable on my palate. To the extent that if I didn't know I was drinking a blueberry stout, I wouldn't have guessed they were in the beer. But to be honest, I have not had the most recent batches of Tres Blueberry. I had a couple four packs last year.

So when I envision this beer, I seems like that the barrel notes would overwhelm the subtle blueberry. I hope not. I'll be doing my best to try this beer.

I highly doubt they made a different version for the barrel aging, so I would say 2%.

It'd be fantastic if they gave this the 6 Pair of Legs treatment. Liquid blueberry pancakes, yum!

Had it once on draft and the blueberries were prominent. No luck in the bottle (faint aroma) 3 different times.

It's the most blueberry forward beer I've had and I've enjoyed this quite a bit, so this is great news.

Hope this makes a Winter Beer Fest appearance (probably a good chance since it's only a week after the release)!

I saw this on facebook as well. The first thing I thought was that $13 for a bourbon barrel aged stout was pretty damn cheap. I really hope my day is free to purchase this at DH.
