The tap board in the bar said 7.5% also.

Not a lot of bourbon on this, but extremely delicious. Tons of blueberry, creamy chocolate. Excellent beer, worth the hour and a half drive!

I wasn't paying attention, what was the backstory of the "dark" rasberry?

Odd, seems like it would have picked up some from the BBA. Not going to argue if it is good, just figured it wouldn't stay the same, and was hoping that would justify the cost, effort etc of getting it.

I only heard half the story. Apparently somebody messages the match up, and added something that shouldn't be there. Unsure of exactly what but it sounded like maybe cocoa nibs? None the less, they called it dark raspberry ale and one it is gone, it is gone. The serial on the bottles ends in 180 for that batch.

I attended today's event with two buddies and had a great time. I'm working on one of the bba Tres Blueberry bottles right now. Job well done by Dark Horse. The blueberry on the nose is just fantastic. Each sip of this beer gets better than the last. But I notice that the bourbon is there but it doesn't match the bourbon influence that exists in BBPT5.

I was driving so I only sampled 9 of the beers outside. My winner by a longshot was #8 Peppermint Patty Stout. Generally speaking, I do not like mint but it really worked in this beer. I was really surprised by the level of chocolate that came out in the beer along with the peppermint.

Keep up the great work, Dark Horse! I'm hoping to make the crawfish boil in June.

I love a mint stout but the peppermint was just a bit too strong for me in it, so overpowering and kind of "artificial" to the mint. But then #8, Java mint porter, wasn't minty enough. Solution, mix the two together, it was a good blend. Didn't even use all my tickets, but it was nice to have that many to mix things up like that, and although I hate to throw out a beer, there were a couple I tasted and tossed near the end, they weren't worth it.

    They used dark wheat accidentally.

Had a good time at the event. Enjoyed some very good beers and felt like I had been poisoned by others (I'm looking at you Hawaiian Pizza porter). The BA tres on tap had a creamy rich chocolate body with the blueberries being prevalent. The barrel is there like others have said but it is subtle, overall I feel the barrel enhanced the mouthfeel an the flavors of the beer, but if your looking for a bourbon bomb look elsewhere. Overall, really liked the beer an glad I was able to get two four packs

I kind of liked the Hawaiian Pizza porter...the Peach whatever it was next to it...that was poison.

I thought the Hawaiian was decent enough, not a favorite, but interesting. I am with you on the Farmhouse Peach. THAT was horrible. I had it really early on, so i still drank it, but I should have tossed it. Multiple people i talked to agreed that it was so bad. Also the Rockberries (maybe) whatever was strawberry banana. Tried it just to try something different, not good. It was getting late so I was trying some out there options just for fun (the whole point right?)

I am a little surprised at the winners list.
    #1, yup, that was great.
#2 root bierd. didn't do it for me, maybe they won a lot of people over because of ice cream
#3 not a fan at all. This had some serious funk in it that I thought tasted like old gym shorts
    #4 didn't have either
#5 was good, late in the day so who knows for sure. different flavors for sure, but nothing I would buy multiples of.

Thinking a lot of the voting was a popularity contest, since it seemed like half the people there either worked there or had a family member(s) that did. But I wasn't there to pick a winner, just have a good time. If they bottled the Cocoa Nibbler, I would buy it.

Also, don't know if I inadvertently talked to any of you, hard to tell with internet personas etc. I am 30, was in a navy brimmed knit hat, bright orange coat, beard (ba avatar...) and was with my dad, late 60's greenish coat, beard. If we chatted, nice to meet you, if not, next time.
