They ordered a Wild Goose machine 6-8 weeks ago, really looking forward to their cans.

Anyways, what is everyone most looking forward to during Bellingham Beer Week? It's less than a month away.

Barleywood Squares. Sadly, it's happening right in the midst of two of my busiest days of the year. I'm gonna miss it.

Yeah beer week is always crazy busy, not sure what I'll actually be able to make it to. As long as everyone has a good time, I'm happy.

Probably the Fremont event at ES, but only because of the fresh hop beers that are supposed to be there. Don't care much about the barrel aged stuff that might show up, it'll probably be more expensive than I want to pay anyway.

I feel guilty picking an event centered around a non-Bham brewery (as much as I love Fremont, this isn't a knock on them in any way), but most of the events in relation to local breweries seem centered around beer and an activity, and not a strictly beer event. For example, a Bellingham cask night featuring our local breweries (and some Seattle guests) would be cool, themed events like brewery collaborations, stuff along those lines.

Boundary Block Party should be good though.

The new seasonal fresh hop pales should be out by then. The BBW Fremont beer is awesome as well. There will likely be one or two barrel beers but they are never cheap.

I agree, I'd much rather let the beer do the heavy lifting rather than some random activity to go along with it.

If you're looking for collaborations keep an eye out for something in October.

So, in a semi-cryptic FB post, Wander today announced a "Pop-Up" event with Melvin during BBW. Only solid clue is "parking lot". Hmmm, wonder where there might be a parking lot at Melvins disposal????

Cut and Paste from FB here:
Melvin Brewing + Wander + friends + parking lot = PopUp Fest Bellingham. More details coming soon. #bellinghambeerweek #ourtreehouse #bellingham #pnw

And, an equally cryptic post on Tap Trail this morning: http://www.taptrail.com/melvin-wander-brewing-team-up-for-bellingham-beer-week/

Except for seeing some DeGarde on tap, nothing on the list is grabbing me, but I suspect lots of folks will need fresh undies when they read this.

@Texwild , any chance of another batch of BBW#2/Midnight Rider being brewed? That was tasty business, and I'm down to only 1 or 2 bottles.

As I just posted on the "Visiting Seattle" thread, I'll be hitting the Seattle Flatstick Pub (240 2nd Ave S) at 6 tonight (9/6) for a BBW kick-off event. A mini-golf throwdown between the Bham breweries, with plenty of Bham beer on tap. If ya get the chance, swing by and say hi.

2416 Meridian Street has been announced as the location. I haven't looked it up, but it's probably Melvins new location.

If any of you are heading up for BBW, @NWer @vurt , ya might want to read the notes at the end of this article, in order to help make decisions: http://www.bellinghamherald.com/entertainment/restaurants/article101373662.html

Boundary Bay will have about 25 beers on tap Friday for their 21st Anniversary Block Party, and some of them will be very limited amount, special releases.

Went to the beer olympics at K2 Friday, and had 10 pints of the Raspberry Lager collab they did with Wander. Saturday was Cnuts Octoberfest, and many half liters went down, and yesterday after work a few of us tried putting a dent in Gruffs inventory.

The first 3 days of BBW have had a hell of an impact, but I think I'll make it through.

BBW '16 is officially over, but, in true Beeringham style, it ends for me tonight with a bottle share/house warming party at a friends house. There is talk of changing the date for next year (which I agree with) to March (which I disagree with). I'll keep y'all in the loop.

Here's a quick look at BBW from my POV: Had fun at the Beer Olympics and Octoberfest, as mentioned above. Hit 3 events at the Green Frog; BBQ and beer pairing, Gorge Night, and Skagit Night (where I won a cornhole set!) from what I heard, the Boundary Bay Anniversary Block Party was a big hit. PDX area BA @vurt made a visit to Hamsterville, and we hit a few breweries together. I fell in with some area brewers at the end of Barleywood Squares, and one of them said that if we went to another bar, where one of his beers was on tap, he would pay until that keg blew. Well, one of his buddies ran ahead, and had the bartender swap out the keg that was on for a fresh one. I was done after 3 pitchers. Yesterday I rested and napped. Tonight, bottle share.

Like I tell folks; Bellingham Beer Week. The one week a year where you learn what my other 51 weeks are like! Hope some of you can make it for the next one, no matter when it is.

So, at a bottle share last night, several people from various aspects of the industry were there, and the group got talking about Beer Week. Nobody has seen Fremont's BBW beer up here, apparently it's only on at the UBG. What's up with that we wondered? Someone mentioned that they had heard that there was a bit of an "issue" with some of it, and it won't be leaving the brewery. What's the point of making a brew for an out of town event, that never leaves one neighborhood of Seattle?
