BC Beer Awards are out and the full list of winners can be found at the bcbeerawards site. (might be a dotcom somewhere in that info). Interesting to see how many entries were sent in by the breweries . Some big trends,that possibly reflect sales, I'm thinking: Hazy IPA 99 entries North American IPA 62 entries Specialty Wild Ale 63 entries North American Pale Ale 71 entries North American Light Lager 49 entries. Lesser entries Kolsch 14 entries Strong Ale and Lager 13 entries UK and Irish Stout 12 entries Strong Belgian Ale 9 entries In addition to the above, awards for bottle design , labeling, etc, which I am happy to see. The selling of craft beer into the larger market is an interesting business, and Craft beer has carved out some definable looks. Interesting to see how the local graphics companies approach it. It's a bit like rock and roll posters of the 60's.
