I've got the go ahead to reopen the BC beer releases thread under a new monthly format to make it a bit more accessible, so, well, here it is.

    Some to expect:

    • Singularity
    • A few new-to-BC Bruery beers (Oude Tart, Tart of Darkness, Saison Rue)
    • Handful of new Mikkellers (might be sneaking onto shelves now actually)
    • Driftwood/Hoyne Collab Baltic Porter
    • Four Winds Brett IPA and Tripel
    • Bomber CDA and Sour

    Nice one, this makes sense.

I was expecting (well, more hoping for) Singularity some time this week. Anyone got any intel?

Intel would be appreciated. I just threw it into 'March' to keep it on the table.

Speak of the devil: Bruery sours and Mikkeller Invasion Farmhouse IPA have landed at Brewery Creek. Along with Bigfoot.

I don't see what the problem was with the other thread though. I had it on watch and I never missed out on anything.

Anyways, thanks @Kump for taking initiative.

Sounds like there are some incoming threats to my already limited capacity to store more beer. Great to see that they're constantly bringing in new products.

Steamworks is brewing a collab beer with New Belgium this Friday. No idea what style but I'll update end of the week.

Not sure how a 9 page thread was too cumbersome - definitely do not agree with the original being locked, but whatever.

Brewery Creek only received 1 box of SN Bigfoot by error so it was gone by the time I got there, but did pick up a bottle of the Mikkeller brett IPA and saw the Oude Tart and Tart of Darkness on the shelves - kinda bummed I hauled two of each of those back from Portland (and still have 3 of the 4 left) haha

How much was them? I myself passed an Oude Tart when I was in Seattle a few weeks ago so I might take the opportunity now.

I'm going to advise people not to contest the original thread locking (If anyone's interested in my opinion I am in agreement with those stated above). In any case, a monthly release thread sounds like a decent compromise if that's what's needed. So... Yay.

PaulQuinn, hope you're ready for that B.C. Provincial tax... Doubt it'll be less than 7-10 bucks more than Seattle. Though will gladly be proven wrong!

I think a monthly release thread is great. I also think a few sub threads for Canadian regions would be super helpful  ... West, Mountain, Central, Eastern, Maritime?

Straffe Hendrik is in town too. LP Kriek came and went at Brewery Creek today (yes, I got one). The Magic Beans coffee beer at Brassneck is really really good, if you like coffee. They're even filling growlers of it.

Excited to try SH! And I can attest to the magic beans... They really let the flavours of that specific bean and roast (by bows and arrows roasters) stand out against a solid brown ale which acts as a perfect canvas.

    Tweet from Driftwood today:

@driftwoodbeer: The brewery sure smells like melted wax today. Any ideas why?

What a way to kick of Victoria Beer Week (March1-9) , had my growler filled with Fat Tug IPA ,

saw skids of Singularity , at a whopping 14.6% ABV , being ready for shipping ,

so I go visit Cascadia (Quadra/Hillside) and at $13 a bottle , see if it's still the best beer buzz ever !!
