Yes I'm thinking this also - my other two are going away for at least a year

Yeah that sour was something else. I found it hard to believe they didn't have any fruit in it considering how fruity it tasted... very impressive stuff. Close as it is, I think they might have just eclipsed Brassneck in terms of local brewery I'm most excited about.

I'm told they have some very exciting bourbon barrels on the way over too. Looking forward to it!

Have a new brewpub opening this week 'Four Mile Brewpub'

    http://www.canadianbeernews.com/

that makes 5 breweries & 5 brewpubs in Greater Victoria now

changes the fellowship of the 9 to a kind of a 'terrific 10'

For sure! I think they're pretty equal in terms of quality, but Four Winds has the edge on interesting brews for sure.

I really wish Canadian Beer News would credit their sources. That photo was from the Victoria News.

Could be, I'd have to drink another Lustrum to find out. I was mostly taken aback by the amount of tannin in Lustrum.

Cantillon Gueze, Kriek, Fou Foune, and Iris will be arriving on shelves in the next week or two. Lou Pepe Kriek, LP Framboise, and Mamouche should be orderable by the end of the week so they should be arriving around two weeks from now.

50/50 Eclipse has landed. $36.99 at Central City, which is generally one of the cheapest private stores... Expect these puppies to be $40 in Vancouver, maybe more?

Having just enjoyed fresh glasses of Abyss for $8 at the Portland last week, I'll be choked paying $40 for a bomber that couldn't be that much better (could it?).

They are all very good but not 40$ good. I paid 26.99 in VT and i thought that was expensive.

Paid $28-30 for mine a couple yrs ago in Portland. Don't mind paying that much, but when Abyss is $15ish and Parabola is under $20, Freemont Darkstar as well, it's hard to justify the Eclipse (even though it's probably really expensive to make)

    Now, where is Singularity!!!?

Fou Foune sold out in about 12 seconds at Brewery Creek looks like. Being that I wasn't waiting there while they unpacked it, I missed out.

As someone who works during the day, I obviously missed out on the Fou Foune release. I am looking to trade for a few bottles IP in Vancouver if anyone would like to. I have Surly Darkness '10, BCBS, Black Tuesday, Crooked Stave Cellar Reserve beers, Firestone Walker 16/17, HotD Bourbon FftW/regular FftW among others to offer. BM me if anyone is interested and we can chat.

Still a week away I'm told , this year's beer will be a ABV special , might be over 16% ,
this from shopping at various/lot's of bottle stores in Greater Victoria , & asking the same question , over & over again
and filling the occasional growler at Driftwood , which will happen again tomorrow , Friday Feb 14 , cause I love beer

I'm still hopeful of scoring Fou Foune elsewhere but don't expect it to happen. I did grab a few bottles of Peche Mortel to make myself feel better though!

Wow, I must have got one of if not the last bottle as I was there at 1:45 and got one, along with a guy beside me. I'm guessing they got around 1-2 cases at most. Was a nice surprise to see them unpacking all the DDC stuff when I walked in. Passed on Eclipse, but that sold out within a short while after I left as well.

p.s. if anyone is looking, Firefly Cambie has loads of Bird of Prey, and Brewdog Tokyo*

Wait they have tokyo??? Or is that asterisk a trick… Guess I'm making an additional pitstop after Bomber.

That's how they spell it on the bottle.
