this from shopping at various/lot's of bottle stores in Greater Victoria , & asking the same question , over & over again

Yesterday I was at Hoyne getting a growler of Voltage Espresso Stout & then walked next door to Driftwood
to fill a growler with BlackStone Porter and in talking too the two ladies at Driftwood ,
expect the week of Feb24 as the earliest 'it' could be out ,
still in the tank fermenting , not even bottled yet , cheers

 

The Sierra Nevada rep just released a sellsheet for Bigfoot. $13.39 wholesale for a 4pk, coming this month hopefully.

Driftwood and Hoyne are working on a collab brew. A baltic porter called Rock Bay Mashup which will be a blend of beers made by each of the breweries. The beer from Hoyne will be done with lager yeast, and the one from Driftwood with ale yeast. They're literally going to transfer it with a hose through the parking lot. Awesome.

 

Their stout is nice. Bitter chocolate and reasonably hoppy. Almost CDA like in itself.

Curious about the sour. Always exciting to see.

In other news: 4 Winds Tripel fermented with Wild Sage Honey from Lillooet in tasting room today, bottles in 2 weeks.

 

Interesting to see 'Loons at multiple locations this time. Most sold out in less than a couple hours. Crazy times. I bought a Lou Pepe Framboise on the shelf at Brewery Creek not even 2yrs ago...

Alibi just tweeted updates about their 500 list. Casks going down to Portland to be filled, collabs with local breweries at Brassneck. Can't wait!

 

Yeah it's been a crazy couple of days - and I guess same again next week for part 2. Sheesh.

Hahahaha wow. So I heard Viti got cantillon and ran down just now, saw kriek and gueuze on the shelf. Asked if they got any others - "no, that's all". On way out with some Bigfoot and what's on the counter but a full case case of fou foune?! "oh that's spoken for already". Uh huh...

Can you do me a favour and wait to see if it shows up elsewhere before giving money to Viti? I'm in the same boat, it's delicious... But I wish I'd have called then out on that crate before I'd bought them. Fuck liars.
