I picked up a 4 pack, gonna drink 2 and cellar 2. What happens to this beer with some age on it?

don't think anyone really knows yet. most reports on king henry are that it went downhill.

personally, i don't see the point. they brought this beer to perfection already. that said, if you got 4, why not age at least one?

It's already aged six months, and the one I had last night seemed better integrated than it was fresh. Fresh seemed like kind of a hot mess. I'm going to continue to cellar for a bit and see what happens, but it's improving so far IMO.

I also like it much more now than when it was released. I think it's much smoother now.

I'm enjoying one right now, a little hot, but not too bad. I think I might save the other 2, one for Xmas, one for NYE.

It's barely half a year old and only been released once. Nobody knows what happens to this beer with some age on it yet. Drink 3 and age 1 to find out.

I still have a whole case and I am not the least bit worried. It is Goose Island Bourbon County. For those of you who said it has gotten better I would agree.

I had king henry a month ago and it was drinking fantastic. Hard to imagine how it could have been any better

Its already changed some. More caramel and sweeter than it was to start out with.

I hear there is a dude on BA that has a whole case. You should hit him up.

I've got two bottles of this and a 2014 Sucaba I'd be more than willing to trade, albeit it'd be my first trade. Bewareeeee! But really, hit me up (anyone) if interested.

Honestly I thought it was in great shape when released. I'm getting more caramel malt now I'm guessing just because of how the booziness has evened out, but I wouldn't say its sweeter now. I still think barrel aged bigfoot is a better beer.

Checking back in on this thread. Any current opinions on how it is drinking now compared to when it was released? For me it was a little too sweet when I had it last year. I am holding onto a 4pk in hopes of it mellowing a bit. Thoughts?

I have about a case in the cellar. I drank one a few weeks back and thought it was the best one I've had so far. A lot more smooth then it was fresh. I think this is another BCS variant that will do well with age.

They're great now. (same as my comment back in April). They were just a little rough, initially.
