Do you guys think it would be possible to trade BCBBW for BCBCS 1:1? I just haven't seen this done. Also, would BCBBW trade 1:1 for regular BCBS, or would it pull more since it is a variant? Maybe like 2:3. I have thought about trading mine, but I'm not sure yet. I'm unsure if I will like the BCBBW. Any suggestions on a cheaper, easier to find beer to try first that will give me an idea if I will like it? I would just hate to open a bottle and not like it when there would be someone else who could benefit from a trade as well as me. Thanks.
For my area BCBCS was very limited. Max one case everywhere. BCBBW was easier to get. But there were the same price point, so if you find someone who likes the BCBBW then you could get a trade. I have not had the BCBBW yet either but I hear it taste like Backwoods's Bastard. I could be wrong here as I have not had it, but they should have similar quality.
BCBBW is extremely unique IMO and doesn't compare well to anything. I'd suggest just cracking one open to decide for yourself, but personally, I love it (and consequently was not able to get ANY this year). It was a bit harder to land than regular so if you were to trade it across the board, I'd say 3:4 would be fair and for Coffee I'd say 4:3. At the end of the day though, it's all about the right set of eyes. Please BM me though if you decide to trade yours!
I definitely will. It's such a hard decision! I will definitely let you know if I decide to trade it. @StrongRepublican I only have 3 bottles but might be able to get a fourth to round it out. Thank you guys for the responses. @iTunesUpdates
Btw, if I decide to trade, it will probably be after the holidays. I've just heard too many horror stories about shipping gone wrong during the holidays. Although, I will say I pride myself on packing. I always use ziploc bags, trash bag and I double box. There was only one time I didn't double box due to the size of the box.
if you like barleywines you are likely to love it, if not I doubt you will like it pretty easy IMO - it's just a beer, not too hard to trade for so either way don't sweat it
