You'll fare better that late without naming names, just call some Hy-Vees towards the end of your shift that move a lot of beer and would have been likely to receive the 16~ regular CS that went to top accounts. Alternately, you might try calling Ingersoll Wine and seeing if they'll hold you a bottle if they ave any left.

Draft is at Bait, Prairie Trail, North Ankeny, and Fleur. Bait and Fleur have 14 and 15 on tap.

I'll just check the usual spots then. I won't be too upset if I don't find a bottle. I got a couple each of 2014 regulars and barley wines. I've got plans to get to 515 right after work for a couple pints. I hope the firkin that is on today isn't dry by the time work gets off.

Took a chance and left the CR/IC area and headed to the Quad Cities EARLY this morning, where family was and I was eventually going Friday, anyway. Ended up working out well and was able to land a couple variants on the Illinois side (apparently 7G did NOT distribute over there, yay?!). So, not really exciting or noteworthy for others but I was pretty stoked it wasn't a complete waste of time (as I really wasn't sure if the Hy-Vees over there/here were truly doing a BCBS release).

Looks like Rare and Coffee hit the warehouse at 7G but ended up at Bricks tonight. Don't know if you had to pay for a pour or be friends with the rep. Not a bad idea and probably fun but me personally I want the chance to be able to purchase what is available so I will be traveling outside of the 7G Map next year, probably to DSM where Doll does it right.

Any bottles left in cedar rapids? Hyvee twitter let me down. Might go to Des Moines next year

Northern eastern Iowa saw 14 cases of regular distributed to 4 hyvee locations. All sold out with about two hours, no variants. However rare was available just across the border, I grabbed two bottles.

IC seemingly had loads of regular. Not a problem getting a large amount if you desired. For the first time ever, my cap on BCS was financially constrained rather than access-constrained.

No place we went to, though, had more than one case of barleywine. Most sold it at 10.99 or 11.99, except Coralville Hyvee which sold it for 19.99. I asked the manager why it cost so much and he said because they were charged $16 a bottle for it. That didn't seem correct to me since other Hyvees in the area were charging almost half as much, but I didn't push it because I don't know. I hope he was being truthful and not lying to me to justify a gratuitous markup.

I would say that he is lying to you... I'm not one to cast such stones, but I doubt a company like 7G is allowed to vary the price from location to location. Let alone that they would only do it to one location? Very suspect.

Agreed, at face value looks like they screwed their customers.

probably confusion where he was going by the Regal pricing instead of BW. I can remember 42nd/Uni Hy Vee in DSM selling Silva Stout for $28 instead of $18-20 and it was a case of the manager misreading the price rather than a deliberate squeeze on customers.

Hubble Ave. Hy-Vee Wine & Spirits still has about a case @ $9.99. Cheers!

I went to Urbandale about 7:40 or so. They were already out of variants, but had what looked like about 30 cases or so left up by the front counter. Don't think they had a limit either, as I saw a few people walk out with cases.

Man you'd think if they had 40 cases regular they would have a few cases of each variant but sounds like they didn't even have a case of each they were selling.
