BCBS 2016 Events in NYC

Thanks for sharing, that is such great news! I stupidly only grabbed a bottle last I saw it.

 

I think this is it. No _____ Rye variant, scarceness of coffee, and the knowledge that regular BCBS, while outstanding by itself, will be on shelves in 2017, kept people home.

I was actually wondering how much coffee Top Hops got, as they're usually the biggest seller, but if the earlier post was correct, they only got a case themselves. Seems odd.

 

Swiftway must have had several cases of coffee or my buddy got extremely lucky. He says he was probably 40th in line Friday and still got the most limited package that included coffee

 

They had 4 cases, from what I was told.

I missed getting coffee by two people. Needless to say I cried myself to sleep all weekend.

 

I snagged a coffee package at Hicksville today.

 

you made it quick then. i had a meeting at 10 and couldn't get there fast enough, managed a regal. the coffees were out before 1040. Andrew confirmed he had once case.

 

Just showed up at Bayport Superstar Beverage. One bottle per person with the inclusion of a raffle ticket for the chance to buy Regal or Rare.

 

Along with Coffee, they also mention a '16 Rye. What beer is that? Or am I misreading the post?

 

Yeah as soon as Andrew posted on Fb around 9:45, I hopped in my car immediately and got there right at 10:00am.

Just snagged a bottle of Regal Rye from Flair Beverage, last one but plenty of regular and Barleywine.

 

This years BW is fucking fantastic.

 

I'm pretty surprised that other than the swiftway event most of the shops I've seen in Suffolk appear to be 1pp and only reg

 

I've never spotted coffee. It's odd how prevalent Regal 15 is all of a sudden. Haven't tried it yet though.

 

Took a flyer and dropped into Whole Foods Chelsea last night, looking for just the regular and barleywine. Nada. Got 2 bottles each last year to the day (Monday after Black Friday). Beer Menus search turns up barleywine only at WF Tribeca. For those who've been out looking (and scored), what's the availability around the city (and Suffolk County)? Thanks.

 

Suffolk: good amount at swiftway a few days ago after the release they had on Friday, regular and bw. Most of the other shops that have been posting recently have been very limited and only doing 1 pp of only reg. Hicksville beer and Soda (actually in Nassau but just over the line, should have a lot of regular left as they put it on beer menus this morning. They did their release yesterday and had a stack of cases out, 16 probably.

 

Thanks. Hicksville and Medford are a bit of a ride and I can't get to either until the weekend anyway, so I guess I'm SOOL. BTW, I just did a Beer Menus search for Suffolk and it turned up nothing.

 

WF57 has about 10 bottles of regular at the cheese counter as of about 30 minutes ago.

I picked up a 2nd bottle for stashing purposes.

 

some of the other whole foods in the city should have. columbus circle had a good 8 - 10 cases of regular yesterday. carmine street might still have both reg and bw left after their release yesterday. c-town in astoria got reg and should still have. both astoria bier and cheese locations are doing their releases this weekend. with the weather crappy today and anticipated to be again tomorrow you shouldn't find much competition out there.
