a little over a week until bottles are released in the NYC Area
most of the usual suspects will be hosting events/bottle releases over the coming weeks

I'm looking forward to the vast amount of Variants available this year
    Vanilla
    Midnight Orange
    Coffee Barleywine
    Wheatwine
    Bramble Rye
    Reserve

    let the hunt begin!

So there’s no coffee this year or it’s such a staple that it doesn’t make the variant list?

Sorry I’m just totally out of touch on BCBS these days. I wonder with dying line lyfe and repeat issues for GI, and just all the great beer around - will this be the first year where people decide not to leave their families at 3am to go and line up outside Top Hops (or are they not even the ones selling it - as I said totally out of touch)?

Top Hops is doing their usual release - www.facebook.com/events/2197339886944957/

The prices seem... high (all are 16.9oz bottles)

They’ve always done it the following Monday for those that travel for the holiday. IIRC the line is never as bad as Top Hops.

I assume One Mike House will also be doing their usual takeover the Wednesday before...

$17 for a bottle of regular!! Is this what it cost last year? Don’t remember paying anywhere close to that.

Yeah that’s pretty ridiculous, I don’t remember what they were charging last year though. Seems like Whole Foods will be the best bet for the regular this year.

At $17 a pop going to be a lot of 2018 sitting next to the 2017.

Can’t wait to purchase none of this.

This is the first time I’ve been able to say this since I got into craft beer. Very therapeutic.

$32.99 for Vanilla Rye? That is a 16.9oz bottle right? I got a bottle of VR in 2014 in 22oz for $24.99. These prices are getting fucking stupid.

I’m going to grab a single bottle of Coffee Barleywine because they are my 2 favorite BCS and I can imagine the combination being dope. I’ll wait until 2019 to purchase a BCBS for half the price.

I was wondering the same thing.. what time do people start lining up for these events? Carmine Street is on a Monday when I think most people will be working!

Wondering what the line is like on Monday at Carmine as well. Like could I take an early lunch and get variants or is this like a 5 AM type of deal?

Did anyone here go last year?

It’s nothing like Top Hops. In the past I’ve shown up an hour early and there were only a couple people ahead of me. That being said it does look like they are supposed to be getting a decent amount of variants so who knows.
