So the Salty Dawg Tavern in Orange, a dive bikini bar, just tapped a keg of Bourbon County Brand Stout. I'm not sure how they have it, or why they have it, but it is definitely there. $10 for an 8oz pour. Happened to see their post on Facebook and went by. Nobody in there has a clue about what they've got. It's really weird. Great beer though.
It was an interesting experience. At first I was offered a 16oz or a 32oz pour. Then she realized that she couldn't do that with this beer. Goes to show how craft beer is expanding I guess, which is fine by me. It's not a bad establishment. Just a weird place to find BCBS.
Been there a handful of times, fun place, a bit creepy with so many 40-50+ year old men who seem to take pride in being regulars and buddy-buddy with the stripper- I mean bartenders. Fantastic eye candy though, and the Union Jack and Sculpin has always been fresh. Plus $1 pints after an Angels game (if they still have that deal).
