Are you asking because you think I should "out a gouger" or because you want to patronize them?

It's in Oak Park, but that's all I'm going to say because I feel uneasy about steering any business toward them. I know that some people missed out and I do genuinely want to help out my fellow BAs. Heck, even I was somewhat tempted since it was probably my only chance at coffee. Honestly, if I had any more than 2 reg and 1 BW, I'd gladly offer it to anyone that wasn't able to get their hands on some. If you wanna google it, that's up to you, but I have a really tough time abiding that level of price increase.

 

In all honesty it's a probably a little of both...

1. It's a place to avoid in the future.
2. It's either $40 for coffee here or $50 on Craigslist.

I don't have any interest in paying these prices for coffee BUT I can understand how some would. I wouldn't mind knowing so that I could avoid the place, but I completely understand your decision. Damned if you do and Damned if you dont....

 

I just wanted some barley wine that not $20+ around me.

 

Was just in there shopping at lunch time, and both are still listed on the draft board - can't trade for waelzbro, but could be a fun trip for groceries!

Anyone is the Naperville/aurora area. Pub 56 has barley wine and reg on tap.

They also have bottles of reg($11), barley wine($15), and prop($30) to go!!!!

I'm the only one with a bottle of prop on the table. Feels kinda weird.

 

Too far for me on a Tuesday but I just want to say that I'm loving people adding these tips. I don't think it blows up a spot since this time of year it seems to pop up everywhere. Thanks for posting!

It normally was too far for me but I was in Bolingbrook for a trade and found it while waiting. It wasn't on the fastest way home but on one of the ways home.

They only have 2 or 3 bottles left when I left just before 7pm. Someone on a fb group said that they got the last one.

 

Few small liquor stores in schaumburgh/arlington heights area have regular and barleywine.

 

There's a store in Schaumburg with 2015 and 2016 regular for $15.99. Pass. It's just south of Meachem/Schaumburg. I don't know the name.

 

Anyone heard of any places in the nw burbs with BCBS on tap tonight?

 

I know this was the case for Jewel employees. Talked to a guy who called a few stores and asked them to "hold one of everything" for him. which in the past would have worked, but they were told that they could not hold any back for employees.

 

Anyone seen any out in the western suburns the last day or two?

 

Schaumburg Binny's had stacks of regular and barleywine today. No limit.

 

Oak Brook Binnys had not gotten any as of last night and did not expect to get anymore.
