You should check out the Hilton Garden Inn (10 East Grand Avenue). It is right across the street from Rock Bottom and the Red Line Grand Avenue stop . You can easily get to Binnys via the el and taxi back with your goodies.

Plus there are some decent places clsoe by.

All you have to do is pull up last years BCBS thread and you will have all of your questions answered. Like doosh said you can find it the Wednesday before if you look hard enough. A lot of places will get it over the weekend as well. Just set time aside and read through the old thread as there are a lot of good tips in there and also places to stay away from

I actually did look but do you know how many threads come up when searching BCBS, BCBS Release or anything close to that? There are TONS.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. Like I said before I appreciate the information I did get from the guys who were cool.

100 lbs of vanilla / 2 lbs of vanilla per barrel = 50 rye whiskey barrels x 53 gallons per barrel = 2650 gallons = 339200 fl oz / 22 fl oz per bomber = ~15400 bombers of vanilla. That's assuming zero loss (there will be) and zero kegging (there will be), so subtract a bit. Nice.

assuming the 50 barrels is accurate, that isnt much. There were 88 barrels of prop and 200 barrels of Backyard. So Vanilla isnt going to be very easy to score. Especially since its nationwide.

Did the article mention vanilla going across the footprint? maybe it will see limited states or Illinois only.
