I unfortunately wasn't able to get bcbs this year. The 3 stores I know of in Metro Detroit had reserve lists and the one that doesn't do reservations sold out in under an hour. It's there any place someone can recommend in metro Detroit where I might have better luck next year? Thanks!
Not trying to sound mean but pretty much there's no place around here after this year's cluster. Up was down, left was right and supply was way more limited from years past. My suggestion, keep appraised to the twitter world, Facebook, instagram....and hope for the best. Or try and make nice with a local shop owner, but that is not always fruitful when they find out how much they can get for those bottles. Best of luck
Champane's Wine Cellar on Chicago and Van **** is one place I would recommend. If you get on their email list, they send out specials and other announcements. This year they sent one giving the day they were releasing BCBS. They had 84 bottles that they were selling 1 per person for $5.99, which is the cheapest I heard of in this area. So if you just want to get a BCBS, I would recommend them. If you are after more, I think a lot of us are in the same boat in this area.
you should specify your area, oakland, macomb, etc. these two have the same distributor but different then surround counties. they seem to get less allocations of it because they're are an AB distributor. i got 6 bottles from my distributor for $5, which is cost. so 5.99 is awesome. also, i would definitely follow holiday market beer on facebook. ashley always announces when he will have things, and lets you know well in advance and they are priced right. clubhouse will have coffee, bcbs, vanilla and barleywine on tap soon.
I'm in Oakland county. I've been watching untapped for clubhouse too. Thanks for the other great suggestions. I will be checking into them all.
