I didn't even ask about the barley wine. But they had 2 left from 2014 at 19.99 a bottle. So I bet they would charge 30.

Was going to say the same thing when I read that. Just seems like the kind of thing that would be illegal.

I am sure someone already explkained this to you, but anyone can do the calculations (cost per oz), and yes, the price IS IN FACT higher = maximizing profits. What does a beer buyer have to do the subject....... it is as simple as 48 oz for $20.99 suggested retail price last year compared to 16.9 oz for suggested retail price of $10.99 this year... you do the math

In SoCal there is a Black Friday release of Bourbon County, select independent stores, BevMo, and Total Wine.

Any word on the Pasadena location? Been looking like crazy on their social media but I can't seem to find anything. Really want to try that regal rye!

Just called Total Wine Northridge and they have 20 cases of regular and are probably doing 1pp. To anyone in the valley...though I've seem some dislike for the valley expressed on these forums. Lol.

I don't know what MSRP was last year, I'm going based on what the distributor was charging in 2014 vs. what they're charging in 2015. Anything that happens after the distributor sells it isn't ABInBev's responsibility.

How come no one is posting Black Friday BCBS releases yet? Is there not much info out there? Or, is everyone hoarding the information? All I have is:

    Orange County
    • Total Wine Brea - 8am: First come, first serve. No limits established yet, nor variants as of 11/23. They claim they do not have the bottles yet.
    • Mr K's - 7am: First come, first serve. They will have Regal Rye.
Please correct me if you have more updated or corrected info.

    Cheers!

I haven't been in to ask recently, but El Cerrito had regular and variants last year. They did an odd thing and did one 4 pack a person, but it was 2 regular, 1 BW, and 1 coffee to make up the pack. Wouldn't be surprised if they have similar this year.

Any good shops in the Fresno area besides Bevmo and Whole foods? I know someone mentioned that they were already selling it up there, but I am sure it is long gone. Would love some rare or regal rye but I'm not camping out so the regular is just fine.

I was there this past Monday (yesterday) and they have not received any of there bourbon county yet and have no plans for Friday yet. This was from one of the regular employees not Jazz. Today however is a different day.

Distillers outlet is said to be the only place to get Rare in San Diego. They will be raffling them off

If local stores are into ****** regular customers, I'll probably just stick to BevMo, Total Wine or Whole Foods for all of my craft beer purchases.

That's not correct, KnB Wine Cellars will (reportedly) have 4 cases of Rare that they're selling for $100/bottle.

They also claimed to be the only store in San Diego to have Rare, so it would appear that several liquor stores are using Black Friday as a platform to go full ******.

I love BCBS but I hate having to go through all of this nonsense just to procure some. Not to mention dealing with incredibly inflated trade options from the Mid-West. I think I'll skip most BCBS this year and enjoy my Parabajava instead.

To me this makes the most sense. A straight shot to barrelworks sounds good to me. Better than hunting down BCBS like a bee looking for pollen.

For the NorCal folks, I heard 50 cases for you, and a little less than half to Sacramento. I'm assuming the rest is SF and rest of bay area?

50 Cases of what? Rare? 20-35 cases of Rare at least so far in SF is what it seems. Plenty of Reg BCBS, and a good amount of variants should be around this week.

BevMo's will have Rare. Take it to the bank.. one I called said they'll have all the varieties but they are limited to selling one bottle pp. Not one of each style, just one measly bottle. My bank account appreciates this, my impulsiveness does not.

And I thought $60 per bottle ($4 per oz), was a joke, and now....$100 per ($6+ per oz) is just plain....WTF?

Sadly it will sell, and the next "Rare" release will be worse due to folks supporting the kick in the balls pricing.
