Woodmans SP had about 6 cases of regular and two cases of Coffee and Barleywine, one bottle each @ $5.49 each. Vanilla was gone by 8:10 as it appeared there were about 30 people in line prior to the store opening. How was it around town?
Woodmans West sold out of Vanilla immediately too. Didn't press for details but I got the last one yet was maybe #8 in line. ??
The beard ratio in SP was about 4:1, but that may be a bit skewed as there were several women in line. I'd be interested to see if that can be beat.
Woodman's West's line was surprisingly clean shaven. There were only about 18 people at 8 am. It sounds like most places around town still haven't gotten their shipment.
We were first in line at Woodmans West and it looked like they only got a case of Vanilla. Hyvee Westgate had more than 12 people in line before the truck even arrived which is pretty insane. I didn't see what Woodmans got but Hyvee only got a 1 case of the coffee & barleywine as well. The distributor (who services Madison and up through Green Bay) said they only got 10 cases of Vanilla total.
Still some regular on the east side as of Saturday a.m.: Harley's on Atwood/Monona Dr. at $8 per bottle, and Licali's market on Monona Dr. at $7 per. I took a pass because I didn't want to pay that much, if fact I almost didn't post the info about Harley's, as I don't like to reward that kind of pricing. But if you HAVE to have one for your father-in-law or something... I am disappointed in Harley's; they usually have reasonable prices. BwB was priced OK there.
Hm. If anyone wants to trade their Coffees for Barleywines, I would do up to 4:4, IP Madison. Let me know. Anyone see any places that still have regular BCBS? I'd like to snag another 4-pack, but presumably there isn't much left at this point.
I stopped in the Showboat in the Dells and they were selling pints of Bourbon County for $6. Was in heaven.
We stopped there Sunday on our way home from a family Christmas gathering for the Packer game. Man I love that place. They had a lot of their Dogfish Head tap takekover left as well as BCBS. 120 Minute and Bourbon County weren't included in their $2.50 tap promotion but it seemed everything else was. Good pizza and wings as well.
