Anyone seen BCBS around the area lately? Trying to pick up a four-pack or two for a buddy out west. Thanks!
I think you can pretty much forget about finding any random 4 packs of BCBS laying around, collecting dust in some obscure store. The beer is very limited, and if memory serves, a similar topic question posed back in March, reached the same result (nothing left to speak of around the area). The one store that still had some back then, and which might still have it now, is the Perfect Pour over in Elkridge, Md. However, they were only selling it by the bottle, and the price was $12 a pop (so with tax, figure $50 plus walk out for a 4 pack). However, if you really, really, really want to get a 4 pack for your buddy out west, the PP is likely your best bet.
Just snagged a 4-pack today for $24.99. It's still out there hiding. Screw The Perfect Pour! $12/bottle is insane. Shout out to Rhettroactive for the tip!
Way to go. That's a few bucks more than what it was selling for at the places I saw it back in November and January (whole foods in DC and Western Maryland), but all things considered, that's not bad at all.
The Perfect Pour is really my stop of last resort, for when I can't find something anywhere else and I *really* want to be cornholed for double the retail price of everywhere else.
I bought a four pack recently at a place on Columbia Rd near Adams Morgan... It's a place where they just started selling growler fills, across from the supermarket.. Selling for 25.99.. i said "ehhhh, gimme 20% and I'll take it"... They did!
theres still a 4pk left at dvines off 14th in their fridge. I bought one, and was gonna buy it all, but thought id let someone else enjoy the find I have a feeling dvines has multiple cases in the back and they put out 2-3 4pks every now and then out front.
Wow, that's kind of expensive for them, isn't it? Usually their prices are very, very good, but that's considerably more expensive then what Max's was charging back when they last had it on tap (I think around $30, but it was for a full size growler). Considering that $23 is pretty close to the 4 pack price (unless, of course, you're shopping at the Perfect Pour), that just seems a bit spendy. Still, nice that they have it at all I guess...
I picked one up in Baltimore a while back for 2 or 3 bucks cheaper, I didn't even blink when I saw it today. I was surprised they even had it when I walked in there today.
I was in Whole Foods in NYC 2 weeks ago, and they had 4 cold BCBS and 4 at room temp. I bought the cold ones, then went back for the warm ones 2 days later and they were gone. went back today, and they had 6 more cold ones. so, I'm nearly positive they had at least *some* in storage (the only other possibility is that they had 2 mixed in somewhere on display I missed in my first visit) the larger point is they still have some sitting there today and there are still reports of rando stores in CT having some. so there is some out there, no doubt granted this is all north of you guys, but still
