bcbs in tampa area still?

I've not seen any recently but have heard of BCBS and BCBBW hitting the shelves recently in the Midwest and elsewhere.

 

Some ABC stores are holding some for TBBW..

 

I saw some BCBbw on the shelf in Tampa the other day.... Not gonna say where on here because it will disappear in about 3 seconds lol

I never understand these kind of posts. Unless you're going to buy it (and if so...why haven't you already!) why not let others known where they can find it. Having to drive all around hunting down beers, calling stores, "befriending" the guys behind the counter, etc. is what I dislike most about craft beers.

 

Well, unless he BM'd the OP with the details, since that's who really wanted to know in the first place. And it'd be a bummer if all of the rest of us who read the thread swooped in and snatched all the beer before the guy who actually initiated the whole thing could show up.

 

okay. Fair point on that possibility. But I feel like everyday I see 3 or 4 posts of people mentioning how their local stores has cases and cases of some limited/sold out everywhere else beer. And only once in my experience has the person posting been willing to share the location when I have BM'd them

 

Now that I believe. I'm always willing to share that info .... once I've hoarded my allotment. :-D

There for BCBS and Captains still has BCBBW. All this is as of last week.

I'm all for hoarding or stocking up. I don't begrudge someone clearing out the shelf or cooler if they got there first. If you got the money and the space (always my most limiting factor) go for it. Just, once you've gotten your, be nice enough to let other BAs know about it.

 

Speaking off...if anyone in Tampa has seen any BCBS (or variants) hanging around, please send me a BM. I'll buy you a drink at Hunahpu Day as a thank you

FYI before everyone prints my photo in order to egg me at Huna Day, OP and I have shared BMs and he will get his BCBbw if it's still around later this week. I'm not a hoarder by any means, if I were there wouldn't be any left. Main reason I didn't post the name is because the place is relatively unknown, and while I don't hoard from them it is nice to have a relatively unknown spot to find some nice surprises every now and again... Same reason I don't share my fishing spots on other forums, you post it up once, next time you go back there will be 20 boats on your spot.

I generally agree with what you say, however, why say anything at all then when asked? Do you go to your fish forums and say, "hey everyone i know where you can catch fish every cast, but I'm not telling you where!" Or do you say nothing at all? If someone is asking for a place to buy a beer, and you post saying you know where but you're not telling, it just comes off as bragging and rubbing it in their face.

I often post where people can find beers if they ask; however, there are rare occasions where i don't. But i don't respond at all, rather than basically teasing them by saying i know where it is but you'll never know...

 

I definitely plan on packing some Grade A jumbos, tar, and some feathers in my cooler for Huna Day, just in case.

And joshodonn, I wasn't meaning to call you out. I was just more commenting on how I don't real understand the motive behind people's brag posts about their great luck/awesome shelf find/secret local store. Good for you for helping the OP.
