I came across a bottle of Rare this weekend, and I bought it. It was hand-numbered just like all the other bottles, but what I found strange was that it was also hand-dated. The other bottles of Rare that I have aren't hand-dated, the date is printed. Has anyone seen this before or know why this is? Thanks!
don't know. if it is an actual discrepancy it could be a case of some didn't get the date - it was noticed & hand printed on the label. since it's "Rare", i assume the details are probably limited & vague purposely. if you found it on "E-Bay" or somewhere else where overpriced *bogus* shit is par for the course, you'd probably be better off asking the brewery about the possible glitch. ---------------------------------------------- Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder. It wasn't on the shelves, nor did I buy it on eBay. I was sitting at a local bar this weekend (not known for having especially rare *no pun intended* beer) and saw the bottle in the cooler. It took some convincing, but they allowed me to buy it to go. It wasn't until I got home with it that I noticed the hand-written date.
I paid $55 for it. Considering it was only $10 more than what I paid at the Black Friday release, I figured it was well worth it.
I just got one a few weeks ago, numbered somewhere in the 3000's I think (too lazy to go look). Hand-dated as well.
With your avatar, I always get the impression you are sad about every post you make lol. I'd pay $55 for Rare all day. Good score
Mine are also hand dated. I think I even have 2 bottles that are the same bottle #, an error of hand numbering as well.
Haha I know, it's a ridiculous avatar, but it's easy to spot! I'm actually not sad or disgruntled - especially when I stumble on an unexpected BCBS Rare!
That's good to know that there are many others out there that are also hand-dated. It just seemed so strange. I had a few bottles before this one and have drank from numerous others and I had never seen the hand-dating.
