I originally had the plan to share Bramble, Cherry And Backyard with my groomsmen at my wedding next August but have recently decided that huge BA stouts at an outdoor wedding in August isn't a good idea. I've had all of them and most of my groomsmen have as well so I'm not worried about bursting any bubbles.

In your opinion, would the whole set pull a VSB or Fuzzy+? These have been 2 of my biggest wants with vsb being my personal white whale. I would appreciate any thoughts on the subject. Would also like thoughts on bigger Cantillon bottles ie: Fou Foune, 50n4E, etc.

    Thanks all.

These were released in different years weren't they? I don't know that anyone views them as a "set" such that trading them together increases their value.

Also if you were going to do a true set you would have to have a Prop in there as well. I wouldnt go for the whole "set" thing and just post a trade and see where it goes.

I think fou foune is definitely doable with those 3. Fuzzy...ehhhh maybe. VSB...probably no. My .02.

    My 2 cents:

    VSB: Not happening
    Fuzzy + a little something: It's possible
Fuzzy alone: Shouldn't be a problem
    50n4e: Not likely
Fou Foune: Absolutely and the FF side should add. Maybe another Cantillon basic 750ml.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I'd like to think the Bramble can go 1:1 with Fou; maybe with an add on your side (such as the backyard). But Bramble + Cherry for Fou seems very generous.

    Thenagain, what do I know.

I personally might consider the Fuzzy trade. We can talk if you end up deciding to do this.

are you saying 3:1 on any of those on your list? I think that is a very tempting offer for anyone holding any 1 of those beers.

don't give up 3:1 for Fuzzy, definitely not worth it.

edit: sorry, didn't read the post two up. not trying to shit on your offer if you were in fact making one.

why would you have to include a Prop in there? has nothing to do with the Bramble/Cherry/Backyard "berry" ryes

If your groomsmen are BAs they'll certainly appreciate Fuzzy but do be aware that it's not a 650 or 750 bottle. I believe it's a 375. Nor is it a high abv brew when compared to the GI BCBS variants. (8% vs 12.7-13.7%) If you get the Fuzzy, perhaps you can also trade for a Saison du Fermier b2, another refreshing SP beer. (Bottles are 750, I think)

Good luck with your search, whatever you decide.

the OP's question is about a rye set. Prop was also aged in rye barrels, so his comment isn't off as far as I can tell

I definitely should have been more clear in my original post, stating the "Rye Berry" set. He was certainly not off stating that Prop could be included in that. Thanks for the responses everyone.
