BCBS Sightings - Chicago

I don't have the energy to chase regular and BW anymore. :-)

 

Thanks goes to my wife for sending me out for taco fixins on my day off. Having to walk the entire store to find 3 things finally paid off for me.

 

Regular and BW 11.99 per at Jewel on State and Ohio. Gotta ask for it.

 

(posted same in 'burbs thread) -- Binny's did a nice job of keeping this quiet, but I still made it to Plainfield Binny's at 6:30pm last night (Thurs) to get a Rare, Regal, Coffee, 2 BW and 3 Regular...no Prop. I guess it pays to be an optimist!!

 

This is the only time I wish I lived in the 'burbs. Never gonna see the variants here!

From what I could tell, Binny's stores had small amounts of Rare and Regal during this 2nd drop, 2-3 cases of Coffee and Barleywine, 20+ cases of Reg and no Prop. Makes sense that Prop was gone during Black Friday.

 

I wonder if the Binny's on Grand still has some Coffee.

 

Just got rare at Binny's LP

 

I was able to buy a case of regular at Whole Foods

 

At Binny's LP now and no BCBS to be found.

First time it pays off to be in the burbs!!! Sweet!

 

I was there, didn't see any either. Did you have to ask? Were they hiding it out back? I hate bugging and asking everytime.

 

Yeah, I walked in and saw quite a few people walking around with Rare. They still had it behind the counter so not sure how much was left or how much they had to begin with. They also had regular.

 

Yes, it was at the customer service counter.

What constitutes "quite a few people walking around with Rare?"

At least 6-7. While I was there looking at other beers I saw at least another 6-7 people come in and get a rare. They definitely had multiple cases.
