BCBS SoCal releases

cracked open the coffee barleywine last night. great beer! lots of coffee on the nose, but only a small bit taste wise. definitely best at room temp.

 

i did try thewheatwine and it was bit sweet for my taste. I could've easily mistaken that beer as barrel aged scotch ale. It was still decent.

I’m in NorCal and the Costco item number seems to have been different for Bcbs for NorCal vs SoCal in years past. Here it’s #1196192. They also couldn’t find it in the computer under “bourbon county stout” but found it under “goose island”. Regular only.

 

Surly Goat WeHo has BCBS ‘13-‘18, some Barleywine vintages and Orange, Vanilla, and Bramble on tap.

 

Prices?

 

Everything was $8 for 5oz. As of Friday they had a flight of the 3 variants for $18 and ‘13-‘18 regular BCS for $26 (I got a flight of the variants and each pour was 5oz). They also had in-house bottles of regular ‘13 for $13.

Did you check all the bevmo's online ?

 

Par Liquor off of Clairmont Mesa Blvd. They also have Russian River bottles regularly. Cheers.
