Well I never thought I would be posting for these but I have a deal worked out for Rare and now I want Vanilla and Bramble so I can drink them together. I have had coffee and cherry rye and while I might try to track them down I don't think they will be difficult because I think I have some friends that have bottles. What I really need help with is finding someone that is willing to trade a Vanilla and Bramble. I would think it should be easier to trade for Bramble but what is it going to take to get a Vanilla. Any help with leads would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Brenton
Vanilla is very hard to trade for right now. Bramble will definitely be easier. I would post in the Trade forum for Vanilla and Bramble. For the Vanilla you should make a generous offer. I'm not sure what kind of beers you have to offer but be willing to offer some good beers with high trade value and maybe even a combination of some good beers that you have. Good luck! Vanilla BCS is the best beer I have ever had. It's also still drinking great in my opinion but it's very different then it was at it's release in 2010.
I put out an ISO and didn't get any hits so I wanted to see if anyone in the region would be able to help me out.
Yeah I figured that would get it done since I used one to get Rare. I was just trying to not trade away all of my bottles for Bourbon County Variants.
It wasn't 1:1 if that makes you feel better about not having a mule. I live pretty close to the brewery so my brother, girlfriend, and myself went over both days. My girlfriend loves sours so she isn't thrilled that I traded Splinter Gold away but I try to keep the beer fridge well stocked with sours.
Strike while the iron is hot my man. Keep 2 of them and trade the rest for whatever you want right now. The market is up on Gold (Splinter gold). Just my opinion.
I know the market is good right now. I have had some great offers already that I have turned down because I am looking for specific beers.
Brenton - good luck on getting the Vanilla and Bramble! A number of us recently held a variant tasting and below are some comments I posted elsewhere (we had all the variants along with a 2008 and 2012 regular BCBS): The Cherry Rye was terrific - still top notch. Tough to have a favorite when all are great beers. That said on this night for me, I'd pick perhaps surprisingly the Bramble first with Vanilla right alongside it. I loved the fruit flavors of the Bramble and the Vanilla is no longer as sweet as it was out of the gate and it tasted wonderful. The 3 Coffee versions all showed well with people having different favorites among them. Everyone agreed though that the 2011 had the most coffee presence. The 2012 BCBS is drinking well right out of the gate and we all liked Rare over the 2008 regular version - big surprise there I know. King Henry is still delicious - had not had one since it first came out. We also opened a Big John and a Nightstalker. One other taster liked the Bramble at the top as well while another gave it a 4.5 and gave all the rest of the variants 5's. No surprise at all that many of us differed in our favorites since they all tasted great. And I might very well choose a different variant as my favorite on another night. Well worth the effort to obtain them. We had thought about having this tasting for quite sometime. Glad we finally pulled it together. Cheers!
Well according to the white whale list you should be able to trade a Gold for a Mimosa and that'll trade for both of those variants lol. Too bad that list would be different now that a new batch is out. Which is funny, because this batch is supposedly better.
