Covid 19 has put a dent into many wallets, and best deal I have found in BC for local craft beer is the Bowen Island Harbour Pack at 14.99 for a 12 pack which is cheaper than some domestic rice beers. Selection is all at 5% ABV: Includes 3 cans Westcoast Lager 3 cans Coastline Pale Ale 3 Cans Artisan IPA 3 cans Deckside Summer Ale (Apricot infused) Beers are ok for for a stay in your bunker experience, and the Deckside Ale is the most distinctive with a good undercurrent of apricot. link: http://www.bcliquorstores.com/product/45641
You can get pretty close to the same $ per L with something like Central City, and you get the added benefit of not having to drink Bowen Island, haha.
Would love anything Red Racer at that kind of price. Locally, 6 x 355 cans of a helles or pale ale is pretty much $17.95
12pk of ISA in 500ml cans for $21.79 at BCL. $3.63 per L vs. $3.52 per L for Bowen Island. Or their beer league lager 8pk is $3.69 per L.
In Ontario a number of micros are offering cheaper 24 pack prices with free home delivery. Skeleton Crew Brewing's Knucklebomb WCIPA, as well as the session verson are 49.95 plus tax and deposit (57$) for 24 - 473 ml can with delivery or a case of each for 94.95$.
Obviously the expense of a kegerator is a prohibitive upfront cost, but you can cut the cost of what you spend on beer in half almost if you don't mind buying 20L at a time lot of breweries sell direct to customers you just gotta ask. $80-$90 for a 20L of really good Pils for example is around average. Good IPAs you're probably closer to $120-$130
