Anyone drink these side by side yet? Curious how they compare...

I did. I think it's preference. The 15 body is much better and it's warmer with more vanilla and caramel. I think 2 years ago with the harsh Chicago winter really messed with 14. I also found it to be the weakest of 12,13,14 as well.

The BCS was retired 2 years ago. College Football Playoff is what it is now deemed.

Just being a smartass. I personally like the '14. Had it on draught 2 weeks ago and liked it 2nd best (out of 3, so derp) in a '11, '13, and '14 flight. '15 is delicious as well. They're different enough but all damn good.

To me, 2015 is a good amount sweeter. 2014 was a little more roasty and bitter and seemed to be a little barrel forward, but not as much as 2013.

In my opinion, 2015 was the best fresh BCBS I have ever had! Had a 2014 and 2015 side by side, and it was no contest, 2015 was better in almost every way!

Interesting perspectives. I had 13 with 14 not long ago and thought 13 was better. Have had 15 by itself and am expecting 15 to win out

This is the beauty of beer. Its different for everyone. No right or wrong answer. I'll have to maybe do this over the weekend and toss my 2 cents in.

I've had 13 and 14, and definitely preferred 14 (sweeter and more chocolatey to my taste). Will hopefully weigh in on 15 tomorrow.

I had 14 and 15 side by side on tap on Black Friday. I liked them both for different reasons.

14- more roasty, bourbon had toned down. Let more barrel come out. Maybe more bitter

15 - more hot and boozy. More sweet. More towards how I like them.

Both were good and I actually had another glass of 14 a couple days later with 13 barley wine (they still had 15 but figured I had 2 bottles of 15, so why not drink 14).

Clear winner for me though was vanilla rye  and also had 15 coffee. Which was GREAT and our area got zero.... So glad I got some on tap.

Just did '15 and '14 on back to back nights. Fresh? I think they're comparable, maybe liked '14 a touch more (thought it was less sweet, more balanced). Side by side after aging? Tough call. I got more dark cherry and fruit notes in this years, and then a ton of vanilla and char in the aged '14. Probably the '14 cuz it reminded me a bit of VR. Both were great.
