My local store got two bottles in today. They are gone now. Be on the lookout. I was told 2 cases were dispersed around Oakland county.

Oh, and I forgot to mention: some Lolita made it into the area as well.

I had heard one case made it to Oakland about a week ago and the distributors just split it up amongst themselves. Kind of insulting to deliver A bottle.

Eff me. I will be leaving my car in my driveway instead of driving around recklessly trying to find the one bottle in the county. I guess the review I read about it will have to satisfy my tastebuds.

Papa Joe's in Rochester had a bottle of Bramble yesterday. Don't know what they are charging. They have/had a bottle of Big Johns too. That one was $48.99

Word from one of the best bar managers in town was that the majority of the high end GI beers went preferentially to bars and restaurants throughout Michigan. Not a lot of the good stuff got out to the rest of us commoners. It does seems like this year was better than last, so here's hoping for 2013.

Correct....I heard the same thing. And I heard that some of these beers are still sitting in a warehouse waiting for high end restaurants to buy them. Yeah....cause there are a shit ton of people buying beer in bottles at high end restaurants!!
Maybe I should quit my job and be a dish washer at one of these joints....yeah

Distributors have to apply but you are allowed to split cases, of anything, wine and liquor have been doing it forever. There has never been a need to do it in beer until now.

So, that rumor about me leaving my car in the driveway... I bought the bottle of Bramble from Papa Joe's this morning, my emotions are split between excitement and shame. I couldn't just sit around wondering if that bottle was on their shelf with my name on it, I had to drive over there and find out. I did leave the Big John there for $48 though.

Just curious, what did you pay for yours? Papa Joes sold me theirs at $23.99.

Heard the same thing as well. Also heard that SE Michigan entire allocation of King Henry went to some bar in Rochester call "The Clubhouse". Depressing...

I had heard the same thing (I think in a different post on BA). FWIW, Clubhouse BFD in Rochester Hills is doing a Founders tasting on Tuesday, March 20th and will apparently have KBS on tap.

Nothing against the Clubhouse, but how does a new establishment get on a allocation list?

I'm hoping to be at the Founders event tomorrow after work - see what time I can swing over there at.
