BCS Variants on Long Island

Amazing how fast these came and went. Wantagh is good in a pinch but prices are usually a little higher than everyone else.

 

The manager told the girl working the register: "These are the last 2 bottles for tonight"

So maybe they're holding on to them till tomorrow? they're open till 8pm, maybe worth a call

 

Most stores got them in the afternoon and they were gone within 2-3 hours. Wouldn't expect any left from stores that got their shipment already.

 

Did anybody happen to come across Backyard in LI? I'm seeing it listed at several places in the city but no chance I will be able to get there this week before it is all gone.

Also, I didn't think they made Backyard this year, hence the Vanilla Rye. I'm assuming it is 2013?

 

BR is from 13..wonder if these were sat on by the distributor or given out to them by GI as a thank you/consolation...regardless..I'm happy they are showing up for sale

 

I did a bunch of driving around last night and was able to land one bottle of vanilla at Frank's Beverage. They only got 1 case, which seems to be what the lucky stores were allocated. I'm not sure if they have any left, but give it a shot of you're in the area.

I was told by the gentleman at Hicksville, as well as the guy at Frank's that the Island won't see any coffee.

Give Big Z Beverage and Syosset Beverage a shot today. Neither place received their shipment yesterday (or hadn't by late yesterday) and both places are expecting them today.

South Shore BAs...Babylon Beverage on 109 has a shit load of regular Bourbon County ($27 for a 4-pack). They have bombers of Vanilla Rye and 12oz of the BCBBW. I got a bomber and 2 each of the regular and the BW. That's enough for me but I figured I'd give a shout to the rest of you.

I was on my way to work, so i didn't ask, but I don't know how much of the variants they have left. I'm assuming not a whole lot.

Syosset Beverage just posted it is for sale. In order to get a Vanilla Rye, you have to buy a case of some GI variety pack. Pass.

 

Syosset Beverage has a 1 4 pack limit of the regular Bourbon County Stout, a limit of 1 bottle of the Barleywine and like Msudukie posted, you have to buy a case of some GI variety pack in order to get the Vanilla Rye.

 

Very interesting because I go to their store now and then...I went around 1pm and was told that they had sold out. Awesome.

 

They're out of the regular BC stout?!

 

She told my cousin and I the same thing. I actually went back inside to ask for the empty case of Vanilla that she should have in fact had, to store the rest of my 22oz variants from over the years. When I came back inside about 5 minutes later, a magic 22oz Vanilla Rye had mysteriously appeared behind the counter, and I was told that, they have no empty case. Last 2 my %#*.

 

Yea.. excuse my language but thats complete Bullshit. Hicksville Beer and Soda was doing the same thing where you had to buy a case for the opportunity to buy 1 vanilla. Also had to buy a 4 pack of regular for the opportunity to buy 1 12oz bottle of Barleywine.

I truly dont know who to blame. The stores tell us its the distributors and the breweries who do that and the distributors says its the breweries while the breweries say its the distributors or stores and they dont condone it. Its one big circle jerk and they are all laughing at us.

I wont be buying from them (syosset beverage), matter of fact ill be on my way over there now to walk in cause the lady knows im looking for it. When she tells me she has it im going to tell her I dont buy those products from stores when there is a pre determined amount you have to purchase before having the chance to purchase that limited beer. Not all stores on Long Island do that. Sad thing is itll be sold out in a few hours at most so all im doimg is wasting my time.

Hicksville was selling 2 4packs of regular 1 bw and a vanilla as a pack also. I doubt anyone went for the case of variety deal.

 

Next yr these distros are gonna make you buy cases of bud to get the variants then what will you do?
