Anyone going to the Belgium Comes To Cooperstown at the Ommegang this year? I just got my VIP ticket. I've only been there once and that was 2013. Should be another great time.

PS: Unfortunately, I'm not actually Christopher Walken so don't expect to see him there.

Can anyone tell me a little about this event? What breweries have been involved in year's past?

And ironically, or unfortunately, the brewery is closed during this event. So twice I would have been up there and I still haven't been inside the brewery.

Yeah I never been in the brewery either. Just the gift shop. I think I will try to check out the brewery when I go.

Going for the first time this year (wife and I got VIP) and couldn't agree more. Doing a little research it looks like last year they announced the beers the day before the event.

This will be my 10th year.
Every year I say "this is the laaaaaaaaast goddamn time I'm doing this", but then suddenly, it's 3am, and I'm hanging around a bonfire with a growler in one hand and a snifter in the other, and all seems well with the world...

Has anybody seen the list of attending breweries?

Also, I spotted this in the BCTC FAQ's, so...

CAN I BRING BEER, WINE OR LIQUOR?
There is no need to bring beer or any other alcohol to Brewery Ommegang. Ommegang's fine ales will be offered at each event, and sometimes additional imported beers for your pleasure. There is no outside alcohol allowed on premise, and no glass containers allowed at all.

I was there for a show on Memorial Day Weekend and can say that policy was enforced somewhat. They were searching campers but I think they really only enforced the no glass policy. I brought in several 4 pks of Other Half cans and many others also brought in cans as well. It seemed like every other person I saw was drinking Heady . I will be stocking up on some canned beverages in the coming weeks. I would suppose if you wanted to bottle(glass) share you could do it discretely in the parking lot but it might also not be an issue. I would just be prepared to have someone search your things and ask you if you have glass.

I was there last year and people go all out. I saw one group with a full couch! I brought in a bunch of bottles and cans but really didn't need most of them. There was plenty to go around even after the tasting time ended. It's a pretty chill atmosphere and a great time.

I was at that show and can confirm all that is stated above. We ditched our bottles and our cans were allowed.

    We will be attending.

I'd be super surprised if the ban on outside liquor is enforced at BCTC. Many bottles float around, the whole situation is one massive bottle share. It's almost the whole point.

We will be attending as volunteers for our first time this year and am looking for some info on a few things that I really cant seem to find any information on anywhere:

    1) When/where does the bottle share go down? I would assume after the main event is over?

    2) What is the shower situation? Will they have any available for people who are camping on site?
