Help me pick which vertical to do for my 31st bday.

Would you rather do a vertical of Black Butte Porter XXI, XXIII and XXIV...

or would you rather do a vertical of all §ucaba (Abacus) vintages....

I am leaning towards the Deschutes as it IS a birthday release.

Just wanted to get some valued input from fellow BAs.

    Have a great Friday!

Whichever you choose, send me the other and I'll gladly enjoy it for your birthday

Deschutes baby, becuase its my personal favorite brewery, and I love the birthday series, especially the BBXXI, which is peaking right now. Abacus/Sucaba should be good for awhile, at least till next years bday rolls around

Damn nice choices I guess it depends on the mood
but personally I would go for the porters tonight and wait on the abacus/sucaba although i feel like the abacus is probably at its peak right now
you should invite over 4-5 friends and go to town on all those bottles

Drink the Firestones. The Abacus is falling off a cliff right now, drink up!

    Happy birthday!

I'll throw my vote in for Abacus, I just think age will treat these so much better. The variation among the BB is just too great to appreciate a 'true' vertical...

Any chance of finding a keg of XXII up somewhere and getting a growler fill to make it an even better vertical? IMHO that one is the best of the lot. I would do the BB because it is so delicious, and it is a bday beer.

My birthday is tomorrow, and I may drink my Sucabas now. Sounds very good.

tough choice, but that bb xxii was crazy good about six months back so I'd try it at its peak. Happy birthiversary!

    Do the Abacus vertical blind.
You'll have a kick ass tasting, and you'll be able to figure out if aging those was worth it, for future reference.

    Abacus/Sucaba without a doubt.
